The Reebok Forever Floatride Grow is one of the most sustainable running shoes out there right now. Reebok decided to take a new approach with their “Forever Line and an eco-friendly carbon footprint.
The Reebok Forever Floatride Grow is a 100% plant-based running shoe! The goal of Reebok is a high-quality shoe that is both sustainable and eco-friendly…but is it good? Like anyone I want to purchase more sustainable products but I also want good products.
Reebok Forever Floatride Grow Quick Facts:

Reebok Forever Floatride Grow Fit:
When I learned the Reebok Forever Floatride Grow upper was made out of “Eucalyptus Bark,” I was slightly concerned with how the fit would be. As someone who wears a women’s size 10-11 wide, I didn’t know what to expect.
I also wondered, is eucalyptus bark breathable? Would it even perform well? I want to be sustainable and eco-friendly, but I also want to be comfortable.
The upper has no overlays or toe guards. This means if you have bunions or a wider foot, it should not rub. I don’t notice or feel a difference of the Eucalyptus Bark, and it performs as well as any other running shoe out there, if not better. It breathes well, and I don’t find my foot getting overly sweaty. I think it’s actually one of the best fitting shoes out there right now.
One thing to note is the laces are thick. They look and feel more like casual shoes. That’s not a deal-breaker, but the laces are different from any other brand I’ve ever seen.
Another thing that drew me to the Reebok Forever Floatride Grow was the style. I figured, if I hated how they felt while running at least I would have a stylish shoe. I love them for running so much, I not have a stylish running shoe.
The Reebok Forever Floatride Grow fits true to size. I wear women’s shoes between a women’s size 10-11 wide in women’s shoes, and the 10.5 fits perfectly.
Reebok Forever Floatride Grow Ride:
I was curious about all parts of this shoe, including the ride. Since the Forever Floatride Grow is made from plant-based materials, I wondered: will this be good? Will it be one of those shoes that want to do well but wears out fast? Or doesn’t it provide enough cushion? I want to be sustainable, but I also don’t want to risk injury with a shoe that isn’t high quality.
You can probably guess from this review the Reebok Forever Floatride Grow is a great running shoe.
The midsole of the Forever Floatride Grow is made of a castor bean oil compound. The foam is less cushioned than the Floatride Energy foam, but there is still an ample cushion. It’s a lightweight but firm ride. If you prefer a lighter-weight shoe like the Brooks Launch or Saucony Kinvara, then the Reebok Forever Floatride Grow is an awesome option.
I’ve run several different types of runs in the Reebok Forever Floatride Grow, from easy runs to workouts, tempos, and daily runs. For me, it fits perfectly into a lightweight trainer that I can pick up the pace if I want. I’ve used it often for warming up before a workout or a weekly daily run.
I’ve now put just over 100 miles in the Forever Floatride Grow, and the durability and traction is a lot better than anticipated. I think I’ll be able to get the average 300-400 miles out of them.
Reebok Forever Floatride Grow Conclusion:
I am shocked by how much I like the Forever Floatride Grow. There really isn’t anything I dislike about the shoe. It fits well, performs well, and is great for the environment. It’s a great shoe for a faster long run or daily runs. This could be a contender for my favorite shoe of 2021. I am truly shocked and excited to continue running in it.
