Recently I decided to try the Vital Performance Sleep. It’s a new product made for athletes and designed to help you sleep better. In November, I reviewed the rest of the Vital Performance line.
As a recap, Vital Proteins recently came out with the “Vital Performance” line. I’m no stranger to Vital Proteins, and I’ve written about several of their products in the Guide to Vital Proteins Products. In fact, I believe I’ve tried almost everything Vital Proteins has to offer.
One of the many things I appreciate Vital Proteins even has a section on its website to learn more about the various ingredients they use in their products. I like to know exactly what is going into my body, especially with supplements.
What are a Few Benefits of Collagen?
What Makes the Vital Proteins Vital Performance Line Different?
The Vital Proteins Vital Performance is a line of collagen-based products made to meet the needs of athletes. It’s created with no fillers, synthetic dyes, gluten, dairy, or soy. All of the products are made for pre-workout, post workout and of course the Vital Performance Sleep is made for sleep. Each product is made to provide athletes with a targeted benefit needed to promote energy, endurance, recovery, and muscle building.
In short, the Vital Performance line is made specifically for athletes, plus you’ll get the benefits of collagen. Collagen has a lot of benefits and not just in sports. It’s the only supplement I truly see the difference in my skin, nails, and hair when I use it versus when I don’t. I wrote a post a few years ago about the top Benefits of collagen.

My Experience with the Vital Performance Sleep and Does it Work?
I’m typically not someone who “struggles to fall asleep.” I’ll lay in my bed for 15-20 minutes, but I usually fall asleep after that. There are obviously exceptions to that.
I started using Vital Performance Sleep a few weeks ago. I don’t use it every day to “compare” on days I don’t. Also, I wouldn’t say I like to rely on anything to fall asleep, so I don’t take anything every single day of the week.
Taste: I’ve tried a couple of flavors, including the orange vanilla and Berry Vanilla. I mixed the Vital Performance Sleep in a blender with 8 ounces of water. Both flavors of the Vital Performance Sleep were smooth and tasted good. Vital Collagen recommends drinking it with warm water like tea.
Did I Fall Asleep “Faster”? On days I took Vital Performance Sleep, I didn’t fall asleep faster but did I did sleep through the night better. Over the last few weeks, I’ve found myself tossing and turning less.
How Did I Feel the Next Day? This was the most important component to me personally. Most sleep medicines make me groggy the next day. Even though Vital Performance Sleep is natural, I was worried about that. I haven’t felt groggy the following days after using it.
Vital Performance Sleep Conclusion:
I like Vital Performance Sleep, and I’ll continue to use it. I recommend it if you are looking for a collagen product or something that will help you sleep more soundly. It’s not going to “knock you out” like sleep medicine, but you won’t feel groggy the next morning either. I’ll definitely continue to use it.
