The Nathan QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld is one of the longest product names in the history of writing reviews. I kid, maybe.
I was looking for a water bottle I could use while out running. I already like the Smartshake Run Bottle, but I also wanted something that would hold my phone. I don’t love holding a phone and a bottle (I think I have a hold one thing limit while running). Anyway, sometimes bladders are too much weight and water for an easy 60-minute run. So I stumbled upon the Nathan QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld. I enjoy the CamelBak Zephyr 10L Running Vest or Nathan Hydration Quickstart 4L Vest for longer runs.
About the company Nathan:
Nathan has been around 40 years and creates the accessories you need for working out, including:
- heldheld water bottles
- waist and running belts
- safety gear, including vests and lights (I am a big fan of the Nathan Terra Fire 300 R LED Hand Torch)
I’ve used several of their products, and they do corner the market in most of the accessories, especially water bottles and lights for running.
About Nathan QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld:
The QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld is designed with more functionality in mind. It has a clear film pocket for easy access to the phone and a grip-free, fully adjustable hand strap. Finally, if that isn’t enough, there is a small zipper stash for valuables.
Nathan claims liquid stays 20% cooler longer than competitors with the double-wall insulated flask plus push-pull blast valve nozzle.
What makes Nathan QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld different?
- 18oz ergonomic flask designed to be easier to squeeze
- Insulated bottle
- Clear film phone pockets for ease of viewing
- No grip hand strap, designed for more comfort on the back of the hand
- High flow Push-Pull Blast Valve cap makes it easier to drink without sloshing around
- Reflective
Finally, washing the Nathan QuickSqueeze Insulated Handheld is easy. The strap is made of 94% polyester and 6% spandex. You can wash the bottle in the dishwasher and the handle in the washing machine. Although I do advise to let air dry.
My Experience with Nathan QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld.
I was excited to try the Nathan QuickSqueeze View insulated Handheld.
Does the Nathan QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld actually keep liquid cold?
Would it be annoying to hold?
Would it slosh around when I was running?
I had so many questions. Handheld water bottles are tricky because you don’t want something that feels heavy or annoying, but also you want another liquid!
I am pleased to admit; it did none of these things.
First, the Nathan QuickSqueeze Insulated Handheld fits my cell phone and case. I am more inclined to want a phone holder that can hold the phone plus a case. While running, the thin film makes it easy to access my phone. I can scroll through songs or whatever I want.
As far as the bottle component, the bottle is kept insulated. I’ve run just over an hour, and my liquid has kept cool the entire time. I don’t have to worry about liquid getting hot while out. This is especially important since the desert is already getting hot, and I want hydration that stays cool.
When running with the QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld, it feels comfortable. The strap fits nicely into my hand without causing my hand to overheat or even chafe. It will take time if you’re not used to holding something, but it’s comfortable to hold, and I haven’t had any issues.
When drinking and emptying the bottle, I don’t find it to slosh around or be annoying. Which is important because who wants a bunch of liquid sloshing around? That gets annoying fast. The bottle is a perfect size, and I think any bigger it would be annoying to carry or be too bulky.
Price: $40
While more expensive than many other competitors, it does have more features, including the insulated bottle.
Nathan QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld Conclusion:
I am a fan of the QuickSqueeze View 18 oz Insulated Handheld. It’s exactly what I’m looking for with 60 minutes runs. I want something that can hold everything with movement and keep hydration cold. I think it would be a great racing water bottle, and you’re able to fill up at aid stations as well.
