It seems like massage guns are all of the rage these days in the running world. I’ve always wanted to try a massage gun, but the price tag of $400+ intimidated me.
Addaday is already a leader for recovery devices in the running world. I’ve used a few Addaday products before, including the Pro Roller and Junior +. Like any recovery device, massage guns are only as good as you use them. If they sit in the closet and collect dust, you obviously won’t get the benefits.
So What is Good About Having a Massage Gun?
Essentially a vibrating massage if used correctly, it can help decrease muscle soreness and pain. Massage guns reduce pain by facilitating capillary proliferation and increase blood flow and circulation. What the heck does that mean? Basically, by using a massage gun correctly, you reduce swelling and inflammation and actively pump extracellular fluid from affected areas, and back to the circulatory system. Massage guns are powerful recovery tools.
Plus, they can increase the range of motion in your muscles. There are a lot of massage guns out there that range in price, so it’s essential to find the one that is best for you. The most expensive massage guns are not always “the best.”
What are the Addaday Biozoom Specs and what makes the Addaday Biozoom So Special?
The Addaday Biozoom massage gun has five speeds ranging from 22 percussions per minute up to 48 percussions per minute. It has a stall force of 70 pounds and a stroke length that varies based on the speed level.
It’s light and weighs 2.3 pounds.
Finally, like many massage guns, it comes with a removable, rechargeable, lithium-ion battery. The battery life lasts up to 2 hours, dependent upon which speed setting and the amount of pressure utilized. If you are using a massage gun for 2 hours straight, you’re probably doing it wrong.

How Portable Is The Addaday BioZoom Massage Gun?
Of any massage gun I’ve seen, the Addaday Bizoom Massage Gun is one of the most portable. First, the hard case keeps everything contained. I wouldn’t be worried if I dropped the hard case. I’m not trying to drop anything, but it feels like a sturdy case. Plus, weighing about 2.5 pounds, the Addaday Biozoom isn’t heavy.
What Makes The Biozoom Different From Other Massage Guns?
The Addaday Biozoom is unique for a few different reasons.
The Addaday Biozoom Massage Gun Itself:
Like most massage guns, the Addaday BioZoom is cordless. The trigger button makes it easy to move between the between 5 different intensities and five interchangeable massage heads allow for further personalization. It’s also one of the quietest massage guns out there.
The nonstick grip and ergonomic design make it comfortable to use.
You Can Adjust the Speed of the Addaday Biozoom:
Many massage guns have one setting. You turn it on and it goes a particular setting. What I like about the Addaday Biozoom Massage Gun is there are five settings. Yes, 5! That is almost unheard of but you can find what works best for you.
The Attachment Names and Appearance:
You won’t find another Massage Gun with attachment names like “Happy” or “Knotty,” but that makes it more fun. Plus, there are also unique attachments in themselves. For instance, the octagonal shape of “Mr. Torch” is unique to the Addaday Biozoom Massage Gun.
The 5 Addaday Biozoom Massage Gun Attachments:
The attachments of any Massage Gun make or break it. Each Biozoom attachment is designed to target different muscle groups. Each is better for a different situation, problem, or injury.
First and probably the massage gun that sticks out is the Happy Attachment. The Happy is a round ball with a round happy face. The low-density attachment is designed to be used on sensitive areas such as the abductor’s muscles. Any runner can tell you; the abductors get tight for many of us!
The Bubbles is a smaller, round ball. It’s a medium attachment that is designed for almost anywhere and allows comfort.
Knotty is a pinpoint attachment designed to go deep. You won’t get a deeper massage gun attachment than the knotty attachment.
The Miss Fascia is the most unique attachment that looks like a small fork. You’ll notice different heights inside of the fork. It’s designed to release fascia on multiple planes.
Mr. Torch is my favorite attachment. It’s an octagon shape and looks like a soccer ball. Its high density is designed to torch any muscle. I use Mr. Torch on my hamstrings and quads the most.
The Speeds of the Addaday Biozoom:
As I mentioned, the Addaday Biozoom is a five-speed device. It’s easy to turn on and move between the different speeds to find what works for you.
Noise Level of the Addaday Biozoom:
I’ve seen and used a lot of massage guns and the Addaday Biozoom Massage Gun is one of the quietest. It’s around 55 decibels and I can easily use it without disturbing others. If I took this to a race or traveled with it, I wouldn’t be worried about a noise complaint in a hotel. In fact, when races do start back and I find myself traveling, I probably will.
Finally, the Price:
The price of the Addaday Biozoom Massage Gun is probably the best in the industry right now. It’s $250 (compared to many brands that are $400+.
The Addaday Biozoom also comes with a two-year warranty.
Does the Addaday Biozoom Work?
I am pleasantly surprised with the Addaday Biozoom Massage Gun and think it’s one of the best out there. You get a powerful massage gun, several attachments, and a sturdy carrying case for one of the best prices. Like any recovery product, it’s only as good as the amount you use it. If your massage gun sits in the closet, you won’t get the value of it. I’ve been using my Addaday Biozoom at least once a day and have had noticeable results. I’m recovering faster as I continue to build mileage.
Finally, after I contacted Addaday, they offered readers 15% off the Addaday Biozoom using the code LOLZ15.
