Pandora Diner

The Pandora Diner

A while ago, I headed to the Pandora diner in Mount Holly.  The Vincentown diner was really crowded and we weren’t in the mood to wait.  Luckily for us (and the general NJ public) there are always multiple diners within a mile.  When one is crowded, drive two miles down the road to a lesser crowded diner.  This one was crowded but not to long of a wait.

Atmosphere: A

The outside atmosphere is cute.  It’s a big square building on an intersection.  I cannot say there is too much exciting going on but it’s not bad looking.  The inside was a cute diner feel.  You walk right by a bakery and who can complain about that.  We sat in a booth.

Coffee: A

The coffee was refilled quickly and was good.  It wasn’t exceptionally good or bad.  I have no complaints and if the coffee is decent and refilled it gets an A in my books.  If it’s cold or not great…then it doesn’t.

Food: A

The menu of the Pandora diner is really big.  I know I say most diner menus are large and in charge but the Pandora diner has one of the largest menus so far.

I ordered an omelette with chicken, spinach and feta cheese.  It also came with home fries and (unpictured but it did exist..toast).   I do’t remember the last time I had home fries but I’m thinking it was college time frame. It was really good and exactly was I was craving.   I cannot cook eggs without burning them so most omelettes taste good to me.  I think the presentation could have been a little better but it’s a diner.

Price: $

My omelette and coffee was 12 dollars.  I really cannot complain, it was probably the least expensive meal I’ve had in a while.

Would I come back/Overall thoughts:

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised with the Pandora diner.  It was crowded and I didn’t expect great things but I was proven wrong.  It’s only a few miles from my house and I will be back soon.

Questions for you:

What is your favorite way to eat eggs?

Either scrambled or in an omelette.  In reality, I just don’t care for hardboiled eggs but everything else is okay.

What is the longest you are willing to wait before being seated?

I normally think 15 minutes for me but patience is not a virtue I was blessed with.

  1. I’ve missed your diner reviews! I love omelets, that’s usually what I get when I go to a diner. Presentation isn’t a big deal to me, I’ve found some of the best food at “greasy spoon” joints. And straight As! Glad you enjoyed it! If I’m ever in your area I’ll have to check it out! 🙂

      1. I used work in Mt Holly. I’m in Florida and do I miss NJ diners! I just visited the Rustic Mill Diner in Cranford NJ on my trip from Maine to Florida. Great breakfast, good coffee and a reasonable price.

  2. Hooray for a diner review :). That omelet looks really good, I also like to order those at restaurants because I suck at making them! I wanted one really bad last Sunday morning but we had to head to the airport super early and there were no omelets there 😦 😦 :(.

  3. yum! and last week when i tweeted you about diner choices we ended up in Tom’s River (at the new crystal diner I think…?) then I noticed you had reviewed it and we both agree- it was fantastic!!
