I was excited for the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0. Typically, I know/remember when a shoe is coming out or being updated, but the Dream Chaser took me by surprise. Known primarily for their running apparel, rabbit continues to build credibility in the footwear space, and the 2.0 is a solid update to their original daily trainer. If you liked the first version, you’ll probably love this one. It’s lighter, more breathable, and built with thoughtful upgrades from top to bottom. For runners looking for sustainable daily comfort with a responsive, centered ride, the Dream Chaser 2.0 is definitely worth a look.
First, my PSA. Did you know the brand is just called “rabbit” with a lowercase? Not run in rabbit or Rabbit, just rabbit.
Anyway, before trying the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 I had a few questions:
- What is the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 made for? It’s made for daily runs and easy runs. It’s designed to be used for the bulk of your training.
- Is the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 comfortable? Yes, as a daily run shoe, it’s designed to be comfortable so you log endless miles.
- Does the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 fit true to size? Yes. It fits and feels good so if you are looking for a daily trainer that fits true to size, consider the Dream Chaser 2.0.
Now let’s get into an honest review of the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0.

rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 Upper and Fit
The most noticeable change in the Dream Chaser 2.0 is the new recycled polyester knit upper. It’s lighter and thinner than the previous version, and you’ll feel that breathability immediately. Added ventilation in the toe box and side panels really help on hot days. I am always worried when a brand says they use recycled materials because I’ve seen some very bad (on the breathability side) fitting uppers. Of course, I want to be environmentally friendly, but I need the shoe to breathe well; otherwise, it’s not useful. All of that to say, that isn’t the case with the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0.
rabbit also reduced the stretch in the upper to create a more secure fit. The result is a snug midfoot lockdown with a surprisingly roomy toe box. That’s not always easy to balance, but this update nails it. A molded memory foam heel collar rounds it out, helping your foot feel stable and gently cradled without any slippage.
rabbit is a female-founded brand, and they started design with a women’s last before scaling up to men’s sizing…something that’s not standard in the industry. In running shoes, I wear between a women’s size 10–11 wide and the size 11 fits the best.
rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 Ride
The midsole is where the magic happens. At the heart of the shoe is the Flowstate Foam™ midsole, which strikes a nice balance between softness and responsiveness. It doesn’t feel overly squishy, but there’s plenty of cushion for longer efforts or recovery days. If you’re used to high-stack maximal shoes, this won’t feel like a marshmallow, but it’s plenty protective. Just 5–10 years ago, this type of cushioning was the norm. Slowly, we’ve gotten away from regular ole stack height and cushioned shoes, but the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 is a great option, especially for those who miss that.
What makes the midsole feel especially smooth is rabbit’s Carbon Trax rocker design. It’s subtle but effective. You’ll feel a gentle roll forward that helps keep your stride efficient without feeling forced. Transitions are smooth, and there’s a nice centered feel underfoot that stays consistent across different paces.
Another standout feature here is the Blumaka insole. It’s made with 85% recycled ETPU and has 10 times the durability of traditional insoles. It’s contoured to mimic the shape of your foot, and you’ll notice it immediately when you step in. The extra structure and bounce help extend the cushion and give the shoe a unique underfoot feel.
Where does the rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 fit into my rotation? It’s a daily run shoe. It’s a shoe that can handle the daily run and bulk of your miles. While you can pick up the pace, there are other options better suited as specific workout shoes.
Outsole
The slip-resistant rubber outsole is made with 15% recycled material and performs well across various road surfaces. It’s not a grippy trail outsole, but it doesn’t need to be. I’ve taken it out on desert runs and had no issues. I don’t anticipate climbing mountains, but it’s fine for light trails or inclement weather.
Durability also seems solid so far. I got about 400 miles out of the original rabbit Dream Chaser and I think I’ll get about that much out of the 2.0. The rubber coverage is smartly placed to protect high-impact areas without weighing the shoe down.
rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 Conclusion
The rabbit Dream Chaser 2.0 is a thoughtful and welcome update to the original model. It doesn’t try to be a flashy supershoe or ultra-minimalist option. Instead, it quietly delivers comfort, fit, and sustainability in a package that feels good every day. We often lose sight of these daily run shoes now. For runners who value an eco-conscious brand and want something that just works…without hot spots, gimmicks, or stiff break-in periods…the Dream Chaser 2.0 is worth trying.
