I am a huge fan of the style of the adidas by Stella McCartney. I’ve purchased a few things throughout the years to run in, and the brand is fashionable and functional. adidas has a lot of fun clothing. I was hunting for a cute matching set and stumbled upon a couple of pieces from adidas. I have always liked that adidas clothing is stylish and yet functions well.
About the adidas by Stella McCartney Collection:
Pieces in the collection are made from post-industrial and post-consumer waste, like plastic bottles. This means you get the performance you are looking for with the lowest impact on the planet. In the last couple of years sustainability has been a priority for me. I try and
My experience with the adidas by Stella McCartney:
I was excited to try some pieces of the adidas by Stella McCartney. I always wanted a cute matching set. I’ve been into the biker shorts trend lately. Sometimes the desert weather is 40 degrees when I start a run and 60 or 70 when I finish–and I’m not running that long. The biker length is perfect for those finicky days. With adidas, you know the material will breathe well so even when it’s hot, you don’t have to worry!
Stella McCartney Truepurpose Printed Cycling Leggings and Sports Bra:
I am usually small, and I bought a size small in both. They fit true to size, and I had no issues with falling leggings.
Sports Bra:
The sports bra has built-in pads. If you are someone who doesn’t want anything see-through, you don’t have to worry. The sports bra is slightly longer than a traditional sports bra, making it a great crop top with support. I’ve worn it a few times out and always get compliments.
Leggings:
The shorts/leggings hit just above the knees. I like them for days when the weather starts around 40 and gets to be about 60 during a single run. They are slightly shorter than capris and somewhat longer than traditional shorts. Plus, at that length, they help prevent thigh chafing. (a problem I often have).
Despite being called “cycling leggings,” there are no butt pads, so they are great for running, lounging, or any workout. The drawstring keeps them in place, and you don’t have to worry about falling.
Reviewing them together: the essential qualities for workout gear is whether it performs well and breathes well. The answer to both questions is yes.
Immediately when putting them on, they felt comfortable. That isn’t surprising because adidas is always a comfortable brand. What is shocking is they are made from recycled materials. I’ve had other pieces from brands using recycled materials and they are super uncomfortable or scratchy.
Not only are they comfortable, the Trupurpose Printed Cycling Leggings and Sports Bra also breathe well. I’ve run 10-15 miles in them without issues with the gear quality or the pants falling down. I also get a ton of compliments! In the summer months (and so far, it’s been HOT) in the desert, I don’t have to worry about the material overheating or being too hot. They are cute and functional and can be worn for running, jogging, working, etc.
Price:
Right now, the cycling shorts are $60. Plus, adidas is having a sale to get $60 off your order of $200+ or $20 off your order of $100 or more using the code SAVEMORE at checkout.
