Oofos Clogs Review

Oofos clogs

The Oofos Clogs rounds out my tour of Oofos reviews from the original Oofos Flip Flops, followed by the Oofos Boots. Unlike most brands of boots and sandals, Oofos provides quality arch support to keep your feet healthy when you aren’t running.

About the Brand Oofos:

Oofos was launched in 2011 who was involved in the running footwear boom in the 1970s and 1980s. They noticed a need for “recovery footwear”. Many of us wear the right shoes running, but what about outside of running? While Oofos was never designed “just for nurses,” the original idea of a shoe focused on shock absorption aligns well with the needs of nurses. Oofos do look similar to many different clogs, boots, and sandals, but Oofos is more focused on support and recovery.

What makes Oofos Clogs Different?

A few questions I’ve gotten about Oofos: Are Oofos Clogs good? Are Oofos Clogs supportive? Are Oofos Clogs only for runners?

The short answer is yes, Oofos are good, and they are extremely supportive. They aren’t “only for runners,” and anyone can benefit from them, from runners to nurses to anyone going through an injury. If you need a well supported shoe or walk a lot on hard surfaces, Oofos is a great brand to look into. They have a lot more support than the traditional clog. Runners or not, it’s important to keep your feet supportive.

  • OOfoam® technology absorbs 37% more impact than traditional footwear.
  • Proprietary footbed design reduces stress on knees, ankles, and other joints.
  • Closed-cell foam is machine washable and designed to minimize odor.

Oofos Clogs Fit:

Oofos don’t come in half sizes. This means you’ll have to figure out what works best for you. Typically in casual shoes, I wear a women’s size 10. In Oofos Sandals size, 10 is fine, and the size 10 is good in the Oofos Clogs too.

Oofos also offers a free 30 day return period, so you don’t need to feel worried about the size.

Oofos Clogs Feel:

Revolutionary OOfoam® technology absorbs 37% more impact than traditional footwear foam materials to reduce the stress on your feet and joints. You will feel this support under your feet whether you are walking to the grocery store or around your house.

Traction and Durability: I’ve walked around 30 miles (via errands and life) in the Oofos Clogs and have had no issues with durability. While they don’t have rubber on the bottom (don’t expect me to hike up a sand dune), they are fine for casual life. I am confident walking the streets without sliding around.

Price: $70

For the support and durability, that is a fairly reasonable price. Birkenstock Clogs are roughly $100.

Oofos Clogs Conclusion:

Probably the only negative thing people say about clogs is the “look.” Yes, you aren’t going to win any fashion awards, but if you are looking for an extremely supportive clog, you won’t find a better one than Oofos. Not only is Oofos made for runners and recovery, anyone can really benefit from wearing Oofos and keeping your feet more supported.
