My trip to Seattle was awesome. My oldest brother Doug and his wife Lindsay live out there so it was nice to visit and stay with them. Although I’ve been here a few times, I haven’t been since high school. I feel like as I get older, I appreciate travel more and more.
Some random adventures:
Since I was in Seattle I also had to see the Oiselle HQ. I was so excited to meet everyone and go for a short run. Sarah, JJ and I ended up walking to get coffee afterwords. After nearly getting hit by a car I was able to model some street style.

The man was clearly just jealous of my party pants.

With my family we did the typical tourist stuff.
We went and visited the Space Needle. I have been before but not since 2006. It was nice to go up and enjoy the view.
We went to Pikes Place and the market. Recommended by Sarah Mac, I had to try one of the donuts. It did not disappoint. I also saw there is a 5k next weekend around Green Lakes that is donut themed. (incase you didn’t know, donuts are my second favorite sweet…behind whipped cream…).

As I said on Monday, I had to go to the first Starbucks. We stood in line (like a normal starbucks), ordered coffee and waited for the coffee. The line was longer but it’s tourist attraction. I wanted to try their exclusive brew.
It was really good, bold and rich so I grabbed a bag for home.
Other than the typical tourist stuff, we just relaxed and hung out with family. My brother’s child is getting so big. She is just too cute.

We even decorated some eggs for Easter!
Question for you: Have you been to Seattle?
Sounds like you had a really fun trip.
Maybe try whipped cream *on* a donut. Yes?
As long as the donut had frosting…
Seattle looks like a fun city to visit! I have always wanted to see the Space Needle in person and go to Pike Place Market. How cool that you got to go to the Oiselle HQ, too!! Legit! I love all of the pictures 🙂
Love Seattle! It’s where I grew up! Love running around Green Lake. Miss it! Glad to see you enjoyed your time there!
That’s awesome! I’m jealous, it was an awesome place to run!
Looks like an awesome trip! Did you get the promotional Space Needle pic too?
We did but it did not turn out well…so sad.
Mine either! No matter how many times I do it…
I go there every year and still visit the same places in Pike Place – Starbucks, Le Panier, and the Chowder place 🙂
If I ever end up in Seattle, I feel like Oiselle would def be at the top of the list of “places to go.” I am in loveee with their product and would love to shop in store instead of online there.
They have a lot of clothing in stores around the country. I hope you can find some near you :-).
None in Canada yet! They might be coming to our MEC soon but til then I’m stuck with picking online and hoping for the best!
Oh no. I hope so, where do you live in Canada?
Toronto! I emailed them a while back and they said MEC might be carrying their stuff by the end of the year so fingers crossed!
I have a friend who lives in Seattle who always posts the best pictures of her doing the coolest things like skiing (in shorts!), day hikes, camping… I’m an east coast girl at heart, but her pictures always make me want to throw a few things in a backpack and move out to the PNW!
I have never been to Seattle but I would love to go.
I am dying to go to Seattle. I’ve been to Spokane, WA which I loved, but Seattle is on my list for next time. Looks like you had a great time 😀
Very cool! Nice views from the needle – I’ve been there, but didn’t go up in it. I did take the underground tour though, that was fun!
I actually used to live in Seattle! It’s so pretty there.. when there’s no rain. It gets wet!
That looks like fun! I miss Seattle. I used to live about half an hour away but now it’s further and I miss the city.
So much eating, exploring, and spending time with family–as it should be! 🙂
I haven’t been to Seattle in years. When I lived outside of Vancouver we’d go down on a semi-regular basis, but I probably haven’t been since high school – but I REALLY want to!!
I have always wanted to go! It sounds like such a fun city! And I have always wanted to go to that Starbucks! I’m so jealous!
I LOVE Seattle! We visited last summer and it was sunny and 80 degrees every day. I hear it’s not usually like that. 🙂 Great, fun city!
Why yes I have!! About a year ago from now and I met a blogger! That was pretty neat. We walked around green lake! Small world.
My husbands whole family lives in Seattle and I’ve only had great times there! Aside from the weather it is one of my favorite cities. Just found your blog since I just started blogging myself 🙂
I live 3 hrs from Seattle, but I haven’t done the tourist stuff yet. We usually just go to shop, concerts, or baseball games.
Sounds like a fun trip- so true that as we get older we appreciate it more! and hello mini LOLZ!
So I’ve been meaning to ask you this (random) question for ages- How do you pronounce Oiselle?
Ha isn’t she cute?
It’s pronounced Wah-Zell. 🙂
…..I was thinking it was OII-zelle. Fail.
I have never been! But it looks like a fun trip!
