I was excited to try Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Pain Relief Gel. Not because I am in pain more than usual, but because I am a big fan of Hyland’s brand! So much so that I had the opportunity to run the Revel Big Bear Half Marathon over the weekend with Team Hylands!
Earlier in the year, I reviewed Hyland’s Leg Cramp Tablet. So I was excited to see how Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Pain Relief Gel compared.
About the brand Hylands:
Hyland’s is a homeopathic product brand in both the US and Canada. It was founded in 1903 in Los Angeles as the Standard Homeopathic Pharmacy. In 1910, it was purchased by George H. Hyland, who changed the name to Standard Homeopathic Company. It wasn’t until 1990 that Hyland began selling products to Canada.
About the Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Pain Relief Gel:
Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Gel with Arnica is designed to provide topical relief of muscle soreness, bruising, and minor swelling. It will not magically fix a stress fracture or a severe injury.
Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Gel contains Arnica, the first natural remedy for minor swelling and bruising. It’s designed to provide genuine, safe pain relief. Plus, it absorbs quickly, isn’t greasy, and doesn’t smell foul. The Pain Relief Gel is made in the USA and free from parabens, petrolatum, artificial fragrances, or dyes.
There are a lot of pain relief gels out there these days, but most are not all natural.
My Experience with the Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Pain Relief Gel:
I’ve been lucky I haven’t had any severe running injuries lately (knock on wood, please). I guess you can count my fall that landed on my head, as severe, although my CT scan was fine. To be honest, I did consider using the Muscle Therapy Pain Relief on the lump on my head but head injuries kind of concern me so I am monitoring it with no pain medication. It’s fine and healing well, but I prefer knowing how it’s healing.
Anyway, I have had minor aches, and my body is more tired than usual. Plus after Revel Big Bear, I am just sore.
I also have plenty of bruises, like when I walked into the latch of the porta-potty. Anyway, using Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Gel is easy, and I do find that I don’t have any residue left. It goes on quickly and doesn’t make a mess. Plus, precisely as it says, it does provide all-natural relief. Now it’s not something I would rely on if I’m having consistent pain, but it does provide temporary relief. To add: if you are consistently having pain or changing your gait or stride, you should always see a doctor.
I’ve also had a couple of sore muscles pop up (mainly in the calf and quad). I rubbed some of the Muscle Therapy Gel on and immediately felt relief. It does not cure anything, but you will feel better using it.
The gel comes out clear and isn’t sticky, plus it doesn’t make a mess. There is no weird smell associated with it either.
You can get a tube of Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Pain Relief Gel for $7.79, which is cheaper than most brands, and it’s all natural+made in the USA.
Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Pain Relief Gel Conclusion:
I am a massive fan of Hyland’s Muscle Therapy Gel. It does what it says; it is all-natural and made in the USA. What more could you need? I keep it in the medicine cabinet when I need it. Honestly, it’s just one of those things to keep in your tool kit for minor things pop up.
