I was intrigued by the Bonk Breaker Energy Chews. One look at the wrappers, and you’ll see why. The rainbow packaging makes them look fun? When I saw the Rainbow Blast, I knew I wanted to try it soon. And yes, I know it’s terrible to judge a book by its cover, but it intrigued me.

My Experience with the Bonk Breaker Energy Chews:

I was excited to try Bonk Breaker Energy Chews. Probably for all of the wrong reasons, but the colorful packaging intrigued me, and they looked like fruit gushers rather than an energy source for a run. Plus, the Bonk Breaker Energy Chews come in unique and fun flavors, including:

Cola
Green Apple
Rainbow Blast
Root Beer
Strawberry
Tangerine Orange

Most flavors are unique, and only strawberry and tangerine orange are the “normal” flavors. I decided to try the Rainbow Blast, Cola, and Strawberry. The first package I opened was the rainbow blast. I tried it during a long trail run. I consumed it with water and could feel the difference within 15-20 minutes. I felt like I had more energy. The Rainbow Blast tastes like a fun fruity candy, and you forget you’re eating runner nutrition. Next, I tried the Cola on a regular road and could feel the energy. I liked that the Cola flavor wasn’t “too strong.” You tasted the Cola but more in a fruity and mild way. The Strawberry tasted fruity, and I didn’t feel it was overpowering.

The consistency makes them easy to consume with water. You don’t have to worry about them sticking to the top of your mouth either (which is a weird problem I’ve had with some of the other chews getting stuck on the roof of my mouth).

I’ve found the Bonk Breaker Energy Chews to work in various workouts, from long runs to shorter efforts. They digest well, and you don’t have to worry about them not sitting well in your stomach. I prefer these and something with even more electrolytes for more arduous efforts in the heat of the Mojave Desert.

They are not the most expensive nutrition product out there but more in the middle.

Bonk Breaker Energy Chews Conclusion:

I like the Energy Chews; they are a fun nutrition product to use while working out. They remind me more of candy versus energy products, but I’m ok with that. They work, taste good, and are just an overall fun product.
