I don’t really take for granted the ability to run on global running day. I’ve been running since 2010 and probably spent at least half of those years injured. Mainly between 2011-2016 when I trained like a dummy. So it always feels special to just ✨run✨ on this day. Happy Global Running Day to the most fun sport ever #globalrunningday Goodbyes are never easy but happy for one last desert run hoorah with Marian. Nice quality long run today. My goal for the summer is keep the long run as I continue to work on speed (it will be hard when it gets to be 110-120 here) Corona Del Mar 5k 20:30 Exploring new cities one 5k at a time. 40 seconds of a 12 mile run. 20:37 and my fastest 5k in a couple of years. Plus I won $200 which can pay for this work of art I bought for my office yesterday Some runs are like that and truthfully most of them have been like that this week for me. Which is why I took a down/cutback/rest week.
