I was excited to try a few Wegrynd tops. The company’s slogan is: “the best damn shirt you’ll ever own.” And who doesn’t want to own high-quality tops? I’ve found a lot of technical tops fit tight, aren’t really great moisture-wicking material, or just don’t fit well. All I want is a loose-fitting, moisture-wicking top, that I can run or lounge in. Bonus points if it’s not $100.
About the brand Wegrynd:
The Wegrynd community exists to inspire and empower age-defying adults on their journeys. We aim to design sustainable, high-performance athletic wear that combines affordability, durability, and style.
Wegrynd was founded in 2016 to be a brand that would fill the need for sustainable premium running wear. They are made from 55% bamboo charcoal/45% recycled polyester. It’s a smaller company, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good.
Products I Tried:
Generally, I’m a size small top, and all the tops fit true to size.
$37
The racerback tank is light and loose, my favorite running top. I generally don’t enjoy super tight tops for running, so I love the fit. I also love the detail and hole in the back for better airflow.
What makes the Wegrynd Racerback Different?
- Made from 55% Bamboo Charcoal/45% Recycled Polyester
- Tagless – printed care label
- UPF 50+
I must say, this is one of the lightest and most breathable tanks I’ve ever tried. The fit is flattering and loose, and the tagless design is something I never knew I needed. Chances are you’ve had a top with tags you’ve had to cut off, and it still leaves a fragment of the titles, which can cause chafing. Well, tagless doesn’t. Plus, at just $37, the price point is one of the cheaper in the running industry.
$35
Designed to be soft and comfortable, it’s a staple for the gym, training, or even hanging out. There is an option for both men’s and women’s cut. The women’s cut is not as tight as a lot of women’s tops so you don’t feel suffocated. Hurrah!
What makes the Wegrynd Short Sleeve Top different?
- Lightweight fabric: 55% Bamboo Charcoal/45% Recycled Polyester
- Tagless – printed care label
- UPF 50+
They weren’t kidding when they said soft. Honestly, I wish all race shirts were screen printed on this top. It’s the lightweight, moisture-wicking top you want to you had. My only complaint is I wish they had more colors, LOL. If you are looking for the perfect lounge or running top that isn’t tight, this is an awesome option. I’ve worn it for several types of runs with no chafing or irritation. Plus, it breathes well, which is essential for desert summers!
Wegrynd All Season Long Sleeve Tech Top:
The claim with the Wegrynd Long Sleeve Tech Top is that you can use it year-round. The thought of wearing long sleeves in August does not excite me. Although the brand is based in Pheonix with similar temperatures, I decided to try it. Not for running but for lounging; truthfully, it breathes well. I am excited to run in it in the cooler months because I know it will perform well. This winter, it’s going to be a staple top for me.

What makes the Wegrynd All Season Long Sleeve Top different?
- Lightweight fabric: 55% Bamboo Charcoal/45% Recycled Polyester
- thumb holes
- Tagless – printed care label
- Reflective strips front and back
- UPF 50+
The thumb holes and extra long sleeves make it super comfortable, and already one of my favorite tops…and it is not even fall yet. The fit and feel are great, and it breathes well.
Wegrynd Conclusion:
I’m a massive fan of Wegrynd, and I appreciate how inexpensive they are. Finding lightweight and breathable tops is hard, but these are awesome. They are indeed like the race t-shirts you wish you had. I’m a huge fan and hopping more people enjoy Wegrynd as much as I do, because the fit and feel (and PRICE) are awesome. Wegrynd is a great gift for any runner in your life, even you.
