Tuckahoe Family Diner (Tuckahoe, New Jersey)
While driving down to Cape May, I decided to stop at the Tuckahoe Family Diner. I’ve had the Tuckahoe Family Diner on my to-do list for a while, but the timing never works out. It’s a small diner and only open until 4 pm
Tuckahoe Family Diner Atmosphere: A
The exterior of the Tuckahoe Family Diner looks like something right out of the movies. It’s an old, small, trolley car style diner. The inside has a few booths and a bar. When we arrived around lunchtime, there were only a couple of other parties.
The coffee at the Tuckahoe Family Diner was brewed hot and fresh. It tasted good. One unique part was the Tuckahoe Family Diner had french vanilla creamers. I like french vanilla, so it was a fun addition.
Tuckahoe Family Diner Food: B
The Tuckahoe Family Diner menu has everything you want in a small-town diner. There aren’t a lot of healthy options, but there are plenty of breakfast and lunch specials. I decided to order the Greek wrap, which came with egg, feta, greens, and onions inside a wrap. It also came with chips and a pickle.
The wrap itself was good, but it wasn’t wrapped well and immediately imploded when I went to eat it. Other than that, it was good, and I would order it again.
The waitress was friendly, and our food came out fast. She seemed to know several of the locals, which was cool.
For my wrap and coffee, the cost was $10.
Tuckahoe Family Diner Overall Thoughts/Would I Come Back?
I liked the Tuckahoe Family Diner and if I’m back in the area, I will go back. It’s a fun stop on the way to Cape May or Wildwood. You won’t find anything fancy, but it’s a good stop.
