Aecooly Fan Review

Aecooly Fan Review

I was excited to try an Aecooly Fan. Living in the Mojave Desert means I’m either very hot while running or I run indoors a lot during the summer.

I was curious about smaller options that could put airflow closer to my face and neck, so I have been using two Aecooly fans for treadmill running: the Aecooly Click 01 Magnetic Neck Fan and Aecooly Cold Air Portable Handheld Fan. Can you use Aecooly fans for working out? For running?

Read this honest Aecooly review and see they are right for you. It may surprise you.

Aecooly Click 01 Magnetic Neck Fan Review

The Click 01 weighs only 3.35 ounces. Traditional neck fans can be bulky and the Click 01 uses a lanyard and magnetic plate instead. I’ve never actually used a “traditional neck fan,” because quite frankly they are too bulky to run with. Or you can feel them bouncing around and who wants another annoyance while out for a run? I didn’t have any issues with the Aecooly Click 01.

The Click 01 was bigger than I anticipated when it arrived. The fan sits around the upper chest and directs air toward your neck and face. Placement takes a little experimenting because moving it higher or lower changes where the air hits. I would figure that out before starting a workout rather than adjusting it while running. The magnet is strong and I don’t worry about it falling off.

There are three speeds. Press the button, choose the amount of air and go…it really is that easy. I also use the Aecooly Click 01 Magnetic Neck fan while outside. When I walked around the OC Fair in August, it was a really nice reprieve and felt great.

Aecooly lists maximum airflow at 23 ft/s and says the magnetic attachment is designed for walking, jogging, and light exercise. The biggest limitation is coverage. This is a three-ounce personal fan aimed at a small area, so anyone expecting the airflow of a large fan across the room will be disappointed. If you’re looking for it to cool your neck and face, then you will be delighted.

The 2000mAh battery is rated for up to nine hours on low and charges through USB-C. Higher speeds reduce runtime, but even then I am not charging it before every use. I also like the Click 01 for travel because it takes up almost no space in a bag.

How is the airflow with the Aecooly Click 01 Magnetic Neck? It’s great and I was really surprised. I’ve used it now both indoors and outdoors and it’s been a great option for both.

Aecooly Cold Air Portable Handheld Fan Review

The Aecooly Cold Air Portable Handheld is much more substantial. It weighs 10.1 ounces, has a 4500mAh battery, five speeds, a battery display, and a misting system. The airflow covers more of the face and neck, and five settings give you more options. The extra airflow is also useful immediately after finishing a run. This thing is a powerhouse and I’m amazed with how cold and refreshing the air feels.

Aecooly advertises a skin-temperature reduction of up to 14.4 degrees Fahrenheit in 10 seconds when using mist and airflow together. It also says refill can provide up to eight minutes of mist. The battery is rated for up to 20 hours on low. That is far beyond any workout I am doing, but the battery display is useful because I can see when the fan needs charging.

I’ve been a huge fan. The Aecooly Cold Air Portable Handheld is one of the coldest portable handheld fans I’ve tried. You really feel a difference using it and it’s actually pretty easy to hold. I’ll set it on the treadmill next to me and can pick it up/put it down when needed. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend doing an outdoor run holding it, but it’s very easy to hold and you could if you wanted or needed too.

I went from not knowing I needed this product to wanting to use it every single run. I’ve also brought it too outdoor events and been really happy. To be honest, it is one of my favorite 2026 discoveries. I’ve had portable fans before, but nothing as cooling as the Aecooly Cold Air Portable Handheld.

Another thing I’ve realized is the Aecooly Cold Hair Portable Handheld is a great option to put in a baby carrier or stroller while walking outdoors in the summer (can you tell I walk with a lot of mom friends?). My friends that I’ve walked with love it for that purpose too.

Price

The Click 01 is currently $19.99 through Amazon, which is reasonable for a rechargeable wearable fan if you will also use it for races or travel. The Cold Air is currently on sale for $39.99. Both are a great deal, especially if you are using them during the summer.

Who Should Buy an Aecooly Fan?

  • Those who want air directed toward the face and neck
  • People who want a portable fan
  • Anyone who wants something easier to move than a floor fan

Aecooly Fan Review Conclusion

I did not expect portable fans to become part of my running gear but wow I cannot emphasize what a fan I am of Aecooly. The Click 01 and Cold Air are useful for different reasons, and I would choose between them based on how you want the airflow.

The Click 01 is the better choice for someone who wants a small hands-free fan while running. The Cold Air is better for stronger airflow and mist. I would still use a larger fan when I want air moving across my full body during a harder or longer treadmill workout.

Mostly, I appreciate that both are easy. Charge them, put them where you want them.
