What is AMACX?
Just looking at the name gives no indication of what the product is. But it’s an endurance fuel for athletes. When it comes to endurance sports, finding the right nutrition can make or break your performance. Most endurance sports are a game of eating.
AMACX has emerged as a standout brand, offering products designed specifically for athletes who push their limits. From long training sessions to race day, AMACX has you covered with energy drinks, gels, and bars formulated to fuel your toughest efforts. I recently had the chance to try a variety of AMACX products. Before trying AMACX, I had a few questions:
What is AMACX? It’s fuel designed for athletes pushing their boundaries. Whether you are running, biking, hiking, or something else.
About the Brand

About AMACX Products:
Energy Drink On The Go
The AMACX Isotonic Energy Drink replenishes fuel stores during long workouts. With a 2:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio, your body can absorb up to 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour, a significant increase over the standard 60 grams. This sports drink also contains sodium and magnesium to support fluid balance and prevent cramping. It comes in Lemon, Forest Fruit, and Grape flavors. My favorite is the Forest Fruit!
- Carbohydrates: 30g per serving
- Key Ingredients: Sodium, magnesium, glucose-fructose blend
- Free From: Artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colorings
- Best For: Workouts lasting longer than two hours
My Experience:
I tested the Isotonic Energy Drink during a series of long runs leading up to my half marathon. The Lemon flavor was light and refreshing, and I appreciated that it wasn’t overly sweet. I don’t always do the best with lemon flavors, so I was excited this was more muted. I noticed that I felt more sustained energy throughout my workouts, and I experienced fewer muscle cramps, likely due to the added sodium and magnesium. Forgot to take a photo, sorry!
Gels
Perfect for those wanting to try different options, the AMACX Gels have all different Energy and Turbo Line options. What is the difference between Turbo and Energy? The Turbo contains caffeine! With ready-to-use formulas, these gels provide energy during workouts without needing additional water. Some flavors contain caffeine for an added boost, while others focus purely on carbs and electrolytes.
- Carbohydrates: 30-40g per gel
- Key Ingredients: Sodium (200mg), caffeine (select flavors)
- Flavors: Citrus, Raspberry, Strawberry, Orange, Cola, Cassis (with caffeine), Cola Lime (with caffeine)
- Best For: Use before or during high-intensity workouts

My Experience with the gels
These gels were a game-changer during my tempo runs and speed workouts. The Turbo Gel with caffeine gave me a noticeable energy boost, while the softer flavors like Raspberry were easy on the stomach. The variety kept things interesting. The flavor is a bit stronger, but it’s thankfully not overly sweet.
AMACX Fast Bar
By the word “bar,” you think it’s crunchy, but it is not. It’s like a soft gummy bar. This soft-textured energy bar provides 32g of carbohydrates per serving and follows the same 2:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio. With 50mg of sodium, it helps replenish glycogen and salt stores simultaneously. The Fast Bar is gluten and lactose-free, making it an easy option for athletes with dietary restrictions.
- Carbohydrates: 32g per bar
- Flavors: Cranberry, Papaya
- Best For: Mid-workout fueling or post-workout recovery
My Experience with the AMACX:
The Fast Bar became a staple in my trail runs. I found the Cranberry flavor particularly enjoyable. Its soft texture made it easy to chew, even during intense efforts. The added sodium helped me stay hydrated and avoid bonking. If you are looking for an energy product that isn’t a gel, the Fast Bars are really good. Of all of the AMACX products, the fast bars are my favorite.
Cost
For the quality and performance, I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially compared to other high-end sports nutrition brands.

Their focus on natural ingredients, coupled with high carbohydrate absorption rates, makes them a great option for anyone pushing their physical limits.
