Go Brewing Review

I was excited to try Go Brewing. It’s amazing to think how far non-alcoholic (NA) beer has come in just a few short years. Today, the NA beer landscape has exploded, with entire breweries dedicated to crafting beers with less than 0.5% ABV. One of those breweries, Go Brewing from Naperville, Illinois, caught my attention with its impressive lineup.

Go Brewing stands out by experimenting with styles not often found in the non-alcoholic category, like nitro stout and Belgian witbier. Founded during the challenging year of 2020, this brewery has grown steadily, offering creative and bold NA beers for those seeking a healthier alternative. There are many unique flavors you won’t find elsewhere, plus they even offer gluten-reduced options.

Before trying Go Brewing, I had a few questions:

  • Is Go Brewing good? Yes, I definitely think it’s one of the best non-alcoholic beers I’ve tried.
  • How does Go Brewing compare to Athletic Brewing? They’re both great in their own ways, but Go Brewing stands out with some very unique flavors.
  • Is Go Brewing gluten-free? Go Brewing uses an enzyme called Clarex to ensure minimal gluten content, making it suitable for those with gluten sensitivities. While not officially labeled “gluten-free” because the facility also brews with barley, they’ve taken significant precautions to prevent contamination.

Now let’s get into an honest review of Go Brewing.

Go Brewing Review

About the Brand: Go Brewing

Go Brewing, founded in 2020, offers a better alternative for those wanting to enjoy beer without the side effects of alcohol. Specializing in non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beers, the company delivers great taste with fewer calories and no next-day regrets. Go Brewing’s mission is to provide healthier drinking options, helping people maintain active social lives without compromising well-being. Their lineup caters to those who want to enjoy beer while staying on track with healthier habits.

What makes Go Brewing special is their willingness to push the boundaries of non-alcoholic beer by offering unique styles like nitro stout and Belgian witbier. This approach appeals to NA drinkers looking for variety and complexity in their beverages. Plus, Go Brewing’s ability to sell online to nearly every state makes them accessible nationwide—an especially great perk for those living in rural areas where it can be hard to find specialty brews locally.

Freedom Without Gluten: Cali Pale Ale

I had the chance to try Freedom Without Gluten, Cali Pale Ale, a gluten-reduced brew crafted with millet, buckwheat, and oats. It offers a delicious blend of caramel, citrus, and floral flavors.

As mentioned, they use Clarex to reduce gluten, making the Cali Pale Ale a great option for those with gluten sensitivities. While not labeled as “gluten-free” due to cross-contact concerns, they take significant steps to prevent contamination.

When I first tried the Cali Pale Ale, I was surprised by how good it tasted. It’s easy to imagine drinking a few in one sitting. I hadn’t even realized it was gluten-reduced until after I looked at the label. We’ve become big fans and can’t wait to try more of their flavors. While I love that they ship to all U.S. states, I wish it was easier to find their beers in stores. I am hoping to try other flavors because they all look fun!
