The 361 Miro Nude 2 and 361 Miro Nude ST sound like they should be almost the same shoe but the naming style isn’t really unique. 361 fast shoes typically have very similar names that it gets kind of confusing. They are both light, both fast, and both from 361.But they are different enough that choosing the wrong one could be annoying. I have both and I actually do wonder if one day I will wear one on my left foot and one on my right.
Before we get started, read each of the reviews:

361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST: Which is better for racing?
The 361 Miro Nude 2 is the better racing shoe.
It is built around a carbon-fiber plate, dual-layer CQT EXTREME TPEE foam, and a stripped-down upper. Everything about the shoe says race day. The weight is the main headline because 138 grams is wild for a carbon-plated road shoe.
The Miro Nude 2 is good for 5Ks, 10Ks, road miles, track races, and fast workouts. It has a lower stack than many marathon super shoes, so I would not make it my first choice for the marathon unless you already know you like lighter, less cushioned racers. If you grew up in the racing flat age then you may do well with the 361 Miro Nude 2 as your marathon race day shoe.
If you are choosing between the Miro Nude 2 and the Miro Nude ST for a goal race, I would pick the Miro Nude 2.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST: Which is better for workouts?
The 361 Miro Nude ST is the better workout shoe.
The ST gives you more training range. It has the same 33 mm heel stack, a slightly higher forefoot stack, a 6 mm drop, and a more practical upper and outsole. It is still a fast shoe, but it is less precious than the Miro Nude 2.
I would use the Miro Nude ST for tempos, fartleks, progression runs, intervals, strides, and long runs with faster work. It is the kind of shoe that can handle the Tuesday workout and still have a role the next week.
The Miro Nude 2 can do workouts, of course. But with the higher price and minimal outsole, I would save it for key sessions and races. If you’re race day shoe is the Miro Nude 2, then of course do a few workouts in it to make sure your body likes the feel!
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST: Fit and upper comparison
The Miro Nude 2 has the more minimal upper. It is lightweight engineered yarn with very little extra structure. That helps keep the shoe insanely light, but it also gives it more of a race-day fit. Expect a snug, stripped-back upper with less padding and less comfort forgiveness. Another reason that racing a marathon in it may not be your first choice.
The Miro Nude ST has a more practical engineered upper. It is still lightweight, although it gives you more structure for training. If you are to ask: What is more comfortable the 361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST, I would tell you the ST.
Neither shoe sounds like the best option for runners who need a lot of room in the toe box. The Miro Nude 2 is especially performance-focused. If you are between sizes or usually need extra volume, I would be careful with both.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST: Ride comparison
The Miro Nude 2 is generally a faster shoe because the carbon-fiber QUIKBONE plate and very low weight make it feel built for quick turnover. It is the shoe you choose when you want fast to feel fast.
The Miro Nude ST is more versatile. It has enough response for fast workouts, but it is less aggressive. Outside described the ST as softer at easier paces and more responsive when the pace picks up, which is exactly what I want from a lightweight performance trainer.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST: Outsole and durability comparison
The Miro Nude ST wins here for most runners.
The Miro Nude 2 uses strategic RPU durability zones, but it is still an ultralight race shoe. It has very minimal outsole and traction to keep it light. You do not get a 138 gram carbon shoe without giving something up. It may not be your first choice for a super rainy day.
The Miro Nude ST has a more substantial outsole and upper. Outside also praised the traction and described it as better for all-around use. That makes the ST a much better choice for workouts, roads that are not perfect, and regular training.
I would baby the Miro Nude 2 and use it for perfect weather days, treadmill, or track. I would (and have) trained in the Miro Nude ST without any fear or losing traction.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST for 5K
Choose the Miro Nude 2 for a 5K race if you’re goal is speed.
Choose the Miro Nude ST for 5K workouts. If you’re someone that needs more cushion in their shoes, then choose the Miro Nude ST for races too.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST for 10K
For a 10K race, I would still choose the Miro Nude 2. The distance is short enough that the lighter race-day build makes sense.
For 10K training, the Miro Nude ST is the better choice. It gives you enough speed without burning through your race shoe.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST for the half marathon
This depends on the runner. If you are efficient, lighter on your feet, and like lower-stack racing shoes, the Miro Nude 2 could work for the half marathon. If you want more training comfort and a less aggressive ride, the Miro Nude ST may be easier to handle.
I would choose the Miro Nude 2 for racing the half. I would choose the Miro Nude ST for half marathon workouts.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs Miro Nude ST for the marathon
For the marathon, I would choose neither as my top pick.
The Miro Nude 2 is race-focused, but it does not have the protection of higher-stack marathon racers like the Saucony Endorphin Pro 5. The Miro Nude ST is more training-friendly, but it is still more performance trainer than marathon race shoe.
Could someone race a marathon in either? Sure. Would I send most runners there first? No.
Where each shoe fits in a rotation
The Miro Nude 2 belongs in the race-day slot. It is the shoe for 5Ks, 10Ks, road miles, and key speed sessions.
The Miro Nude ST belongs in the workout slot. It is the shoe for tempos, intervals, progression runs, and faster daily miles.
A good rotation could look like this: a daily trainer from my running shoe review list, the Miro Nude ST for workouts, and the Miro Nude 2 for race day. If you like 361 and want another brand comparison, my 361 Furious Future 2.0 review is another place to start. I would also look at how alternating running shoes can help your running if you are building a rotation instead of trying to make one shoe do everything.
Who should buy the 361 Miro Nude 2?
Buy the 361 Miro Nude 2 if you want the fastest, lightest option from this pairing. It is the better choice for 5K and 10K racing, road mile racing, and runners who miss the feeling of old racing flats but still want carbon and modern foam.
Who should buy the 361 Miro Nude ST?
Buy the 361 Miro Nude ST if you want a shoe you can use more often. It is better for workouts, faster long runs, tempo days, and runners who want speed without saving the shoe only for race day.
361 Miro Nude 2 vs 361 Miro Nude ST conclusion
The 361 Miro Nude 2 is the fun choice. It is lighter, more aggressive, and better for racing. The 361 Miro Nude ST is the smarter weekly training choice. It is cheaper, more versatile, and more durable for regular workouts.
If I were buying only one, I would choose the Miro Nude ST because most runners need a workout shoe more often than they need an ultralight race shoe.
If I were buying for a 5K or 10K PR, I would choose the Miro Nude 2.
And if I were building a rotation, I would use both: Miro Nude ST for the work, Miro Nude 2 for the race.
