I was excited to try KAL Vitamins Magnesium Powder. I’ve heard magnesium was beneficial for runners, and I was excited to see how it would help my own journey. I’ll be honest, there are so many vitamins and supplements that you have to wait weeks or months to see if they’ve made a difference. You have to “trust the process”, to make sure they work. I’m not a huge fan of supplements in pill form, so I was pleased to find KAL Magnesium Powders. I had a few questions, such as:
- Does KAL Magnesium Powder taste good?
- Do you feel a difference with KAL Magnesium Powder?
- Is KAL Magnesium Powder good?
Well, in this review, we will see together!
About the company KAL Vitamins:
The journey of KAL Vitamins began 90 years ago with a discovery by Chester Weldon. Searching for a remedy for his wife’s leg cramps, Weldon came across a calcium phosphorus powder that proved remarkably effective. Inspired by the positive impact, Weldon established KAL Vitamins, driven by a commitment to offer care and life-changing solutions to as many individuals as possible.
Fast forward to today, KAL Vitamins has evolved into a trusted brand, offering an extensive array of supplements tailored to meet the diverse needs of various life stages. At the heart of KAL’s mission is the desire to empower individuals to nurture their loved ones’ health, echoing the foundational act of love initiated by Chester Weldon.

My experience with KAL Magnesium Powder:
Honestly, my two biggest questions: does KAL Magnesium Powder taste good, and does KAL Magnesium Powder work, were answered in the first few days of trying the product. I’ve tried a few of their flavors now, including blueberry, lemon-lime, cherry, and mandarin. They all tasted great, and I honestly have no complaints. The flavor is strong but not overpowering. I expected my favorite flavor to be the cherry since I’m a big cherry fan, but it was actually the blueberry. To be honest, though, they are some of the best-tasting supplement drinks I’ve tried. The mandarin is under the “mood” category, whereas the other 3 are “calming”. I’ve noticed my legs and body feel more calm with the 3 under the calming category. KAL Vitamins also makes energy, heart, and pretty categories and I’m curious about all three. The “pretty” is to help with skin collagen, which happens to be the only other supplement I see a noticeable difference with. So that is my next to try.
Now, does KAL Magnesium Powder work? I rarely have a supplement that I’m like, wow, I actually notice a difference. But the KAL Magnesium Powder definitely does work. As a runner, you can find yourself with tired or restless legs, and the KAL Magnesium Powder helps combat that. I especially notice a difference after a hard run or workout. My legs feel a lot calmer and not as twitchy. The calming powder does provide some relaxation, and I typically have the powder right before bed.
Finally, the Magnesium Powder has between 10-15 calories per serving and 77% of your daily magnesium needs. There is no added sugar so there isn’t a lot to it other than the magnesium.
Cost: $27.99
For 40 servings, the cost is $27.99, which is way less than $1 per serving. This is about the same or maybe a little bit cheaper than other similar products. I think the average is around $1 per serving in things that are not pill form.
KAL Magnesium Powder Conclusion:
I strongly believe the Magnesium Powder works and works well. I’m a huge fan, and I really don’t have anything negative to say. They taste good and work. What more do you need? I rarely have a vitamin or supplement that I feel a noticeable difference and that I like the taste. I also appreciate that KAL is dedicated to keeping their products free of added stuff.
Who should buy the KAL Magnesium Powder? If you are someone with restless legs (runner or not) that could benefit from relaxation.
Who should not buy the KAL Magnesium Powder? Honestly, I don’t really have a reason not to. I’m a huge fan and think it could help almost anyone.
