Roasted Prime Rib Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 8 lb Prime Rib
  • 1 tbsp Salt (to taste)
  • 1 bag carrots
  • 1 bag fingerling potatoes

Method
 

  1. Remove Prime Rib the day you plan to cook it. The best way to cook is at room temperature.
  2. If you desire, salt in the morning about 3-4 hours before cooking. Do you need to salt? No. Will it make it more flavorful? Yes.
  3. Preheat oven to 500°F. (or the hottest temperature your oven will go)
  4. Place carrots and potatoes into a roasting pan, followed by the prime rib fat side up.
  5. Cook Prime Rib for 15 minutes at 500 degrees.
  6. After 15 minutes redice the temperature to 325°F. Cook for 11-12 minutes per pound of roast. (more directions below). You want the internal temperature to be at least 115 Degrees F before removing from the oven.
  7. Once cooked, removed from the oven and allow the roast to sit for 15-20 minutes before cutting.
  8. Cut and serve!
