Vegas Diner (Wildwood)

Vegas Diner wildwood steak and eggs

Recently I found myself in Wildwood, NJ. Wildwood has several diners that I never seem to get too because they are seasonal or only open for lunch. When the opportunity presented itself to go, I took it.

Atmosphere: A
The Vegas Diner looks like what you would think a “Vegas Diner” to look like. There is plenty of metallic and glam inside.

When I arrived on Saturday for lunch, it wasn’t too crowded. I sat in a small booth.

Coffee: A
The Vegas Diner serves Lacas coffee, which is my favorite. It’s brewed locally in NJ.

When I arrived around 11, I was hoping to get lunch. Sadly, they didn’t serve lunch yet, and the salad bar wasn’t ready. I was disappointed because it’s hard to find diners with salad bars!

After the waitress said lunch wasn’t yet an option, I decided to order steak and eggs. You can never go wrong with that a NJ diner. I decided to sub the hash browns with a fruit cup.

When it came out, the eggs were fluffy, and the steak was cooked perfectly (I like medium rare).

The fruit cup was one of the best fruit cups I’ve had. In all, my meal was great, but I was disappointed they didn’t serve lunch at 11.

The waitress was friendly and nice and refilled our beverages. My food came out fast too.

For my steak and eggs, and fruit cup substitution it was $21.

Overall Thoughts/Summary:
I liked the Vegas Diner, and I would love to come back at lunch or dinner because their menu looks great.

  1. Hollie, I have to agree that is SOOOO strange that the diner wasn’t serving lunch at 11am. I would have to say that would be an area of growth for them. Do you think you could make a comment on their facebook so that they check out your review? Diner’s generally let you eat “whatever” at any hour of the day, right?
