Paulsboro Diner (Paulsboro, NJ)
Recently one of my good friends Angela was back home for a few days, and we were lucky to hang out.
We decided to settle on the Paulsboro Diner in Paulsboro, NJ. To be honest, I didn’t know much about the diner until recently. It’s only open until 3 pm.
Paulsboro Diner Atmosphere: B
We met at the Paulsboro Diner around lunchtime, and it wasn’t too crowded. The outside of the Paulsboro Diner is a small building that resembles the size of a trailer. There are about ten booths and a bar, but no tables. It’s a local favorite.
Paulsboro Diner Coffee: B
The coffee at the Paulsboro Diner was brewed hot and fresh. However, they didn’t have whipped cream. It appeared they didn’t have any desserts which would make sense for the lack of whipped cream. I was sad, but the coffee was still good.
Paulsboro Diner Food: C
The Paulsboro Diner menu is that of a typical restaurant. Since they are only open for breakfast and lunch, they have a smaller menu and don’t have desserts or big entree platters.
We went between the holidays and I was still full-on holiday cookies. I decided to order something lighter and one of my favorites: a Greek salad with chicken. It came with free soup, and they had one of my favorite types: lentil.
The lentil soup was one of the best I’ve had. It was hot and fresh.
The Greek Salad at the Paulsboro Diner was decent. There were a lot of salad greens, but not enough toppings and the dressing left a lot to be desired. They didn’t have a lot of salad dressing options (all I wanted was a greek or balsamic dressing), and they handed me dressing packets instead of in a cup. There was plenty of chicken which was great. It was a combination of a lot of chicken and salad green but not a lot of toppings.

Our waitress at the Paulsboro Diner was extremely friendly and made sure we had plenty of refills, plus our food came out quickly.

For the coffee, salad, and soup, the cost was $10.
Overall Thoughts/Would I come back to the Paulsboro Diner?
I enjoyed the Paulsboro Diner, and it was a nice surprise in the area. I’ll be back!

I absolutely love the She Crab soup at 82 Queen here in Charleston. Not a diner, but if you like soups and salads it’s a great place for it.
Glad you and Angela got to hang out when she was in town! Smallest restaurant I’ve been in is a place here called Boxcar Betty’s… maybe 8 tables or so. Clay and I took a friend from out of town there and the three of us were cramped at the table.
