Pantagis Diner

A couple of weeks ago, Christine and I met for lunch at Pantagis diner. We haven’t been able to meet up in a few months, so it was nice that our schedules worked out! I had read a Pantagis diner review the same week from New Jersey isn’t boring so it seemed perfect!

We met for lunch when it was quiet in Pantagis Diner. One of my favorite parts of having an atypical schedule is the ability to meet during the week for lunch.

Pantagis Diner Atmosphere: B

The inside of Pantagis Diner is unique but cramped. I understand that part of a diner making money is having as many tables as possible, but I felt like there was no personal space. I’m glad the Pantagis diner wasn’t crowded. Otherwise, it would have been awkward.

Pantagis Diner Service: B

The waitress was friendly, but she wanted to hurry us out of the restaurant. I understand that restaurants make their money by turning over tables, but we weren’t causing any customers to wait nor were we bothering her once our food was done. We were just sitting and chatting. That being said, she was nice and made sure we had plenty to drink.

Pantagis Diner Coffee: C

The coffee at Pantagis Diner was average. It wasn’t good or bad. I don’t have much to say about it. I would get the coffee again, but it’s nothing to write home about.

Pantagis Diner Food: A

Pantagis Diner menu has a massive selection of food. They have everything from typical diner menu staples to seafood and steak. They are well known for their fresh seafood, so I decided to get the large Greek salad with salmon.

The Greek salad one of my favorite salads because it was large. Sometimes I’ll order a large and I’m still hungry afterward. They also kept the anchovies on even with the addition of salmon. The portions of Pantagis diner are massive. The portion was large enough that it left me full, and the food was fresh. It was perfect!

Pantagis Diner Dessert: A

When you walk into Pantagis Diner, you walk right by the dessert case. It’s like a beacon to try all of their desserts. I immediately saw the red velvet cheesecake, and I knew I would be purchasing it. I was surprised that the salad filled me up, and I saved the cheesecake for takeout.

Pantagis Diner is known for their world-famous cheesecakes so I knew I wanted to try one. The Red Velvet cheesecake at Pantagis Diner was dense. It had a layer of cake followed by frosting and then of course, cheesecake in the center. I loved how dense the cake was, and I recommend it.

For my coffee, salad and cheesecake, the cost was $27. Honestly, the price was completely worth it because of how filling it was.

Would I come back?

Pantagis Diner is excellent, and I would be back. The food, as well as the Cheesecake, is one of the best I’ve had. Plus, there are a lot of different flavors I want to try. Hopefully, next time the coffee will be more unique but other than that, I have no complaints!

That red velvet cheesecake looks divine! Unless I’m having a serious conversation with someone–or if we haven’t seen each other in a while and are catching up–I usually head out of the restaurant shortly after paying the check. Servers here give you funny looks if you linger too long!

I really dislike it when servers try to rush you out of a restaurant – especially when you’re not bothering anyone and there isn’t a wait. Diners, especially, were made for socialization. The whole point of going out to eat with someone is to enjoy each other’s company!
