Random Friday

This week seemed to go by super slowly at first but finally sped up after Wednesday.  Thank goodness because I’m ready for the weekend.  I don’t know why, I’m working Friday-Sunday.  That being said there is just something about saying it’s Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

I don’t have a lot to report back these last couple of days.   Something people always say to me is “I wish I lived an exciting life that I could blog about it daily”.  The truth is I’m not terribly exciting.  Some weeks are very low key and this happens to be one of those weeks.  I will say it’s strange to be completely removed from any colleges as people begin and finish finals.  Two years ago I was taking my own finals and last year I was watching students at Oswego take finals.

  1. Similar week here…first 1/2 dragged but then after Wednesday it went pretty quickly. I am leaving for NY to visit family for the weekend after work so that is the highlight for me. Also, I don’t think 99% of the population leads that exciting of a life that warrants daily blog posts (or at least ones that basically say nothing and are filled with fluff) or multiple daily posts, lol! Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

  2. My week’s been rough too, honestly this month has been a rough one with being sick and now being injured (hurt ankle on Tuesday). I head to Florence for a race this weekend (to watch Clay run and volunteer), then to PHX for a conference, yikes! So I’m kinda working for the weekend too since we leave and the conference starts on Sunday.

My life isn’t very exciting at all. At least your job involves people, lol. You got that going for it. The most exciting thing I did yesterday was go to waffle house and enjoy a delicious blueberry waffle hehe.

  3. I’ve been trying to keep it light with funny articles, so I’ve been all about Buzzfeed lately. This weekend is catchup weekend. We haven’t been around for a while!

  4. My week’s actually been the opposite… Super quick at first, and then it slowed down over the past couple of days. In any case, TGIF! No super exciting plans for the weekend, but I’m hoping the weather improves little so that I can get outside and enjoy some sun!

  5. This has been a hectic week for me only b/c I was stranded in airports for the first two days and dealing with the emotional roller coaster of saying bye to the boyfriend before he leaves for his deployment. Then I got sick–needless to say I’m ready for the weekend!

I find it so weird not having to do finals or think about gradauting. Two years ago I was graduating then last year the (ex) bf was doing finals. Funny how things change =)

  6. We are all interesting in our own right. We wouldn’t come back and read if things were boring. That said the low key weeks are just as beneficial as the busy ones. We all have them and makes all of us relatable.

My week had been work, kids, and really bad running lol. Weekend is packed with fun, golf tourney and virtual run in Sunday.

  7. well, this week has been crazy…you know.
This weekend my parents are flying in to visit and I’m running the Colfax half marathon – this will be the first half marathon they’ve come to so I’m looking forward to having my own cheer squad.

Thanks for the link share!! That little girl totally cracked me up.

  8. This week was absolutely nuts for me–and this weekend will be busy too. I’m hoping things will calm down a bit next week. Don’t work too hard today! 😉

  9. I seriously love this!

I always read about the gravity and payoff of taking risks and doing thugs that scare you, but don’t see how it applies to my life.

What risks? I WANT to do something scary but nothing comes to mind.

Reading your post helps put that in perspective. Heck I packed up, moved to a new state CONTINUED to move for my company and had to vein again multiple times.

Things aren’t perfect, but I would never in a million years wish I had stayed in Florida and not put myself outside I my comfort zone. I am a better person, friend and family member because of it!
