Some Life and Some Reads

Wow have I been busy this week!  I am glad that it’s Friday though.  It’s time to relax this weekend.  I obviously have had a lot going on this week.  Actually being busy makes me thankful for the small amounts of time down time lately.  I know I took it for granted previously.

Something I’ve been meaning to talk about since last week:

Remember when I was trying to win a trip to Napa Valley and spammed everyone for a month?  My runner up prize came last week and I received a nice sweatshirt from Another Mother Runner as well as their book called “Train like a Mother”.

Zooma also offered me a free entry to any of their races, however, with the exception of one possibility I can’t do any. (All of them are too far for travel and the Annapolis race in May is the same weekend as something else I have going on).  Since Oiselle was one of the sponsors of the contest, I get a giftcard to them too.  I’m downright giddy thinking about that.

This has been probably one of the best weeks I’ve ever had in my life.  I am still processing actually being engaged.  I cannot thank everyone for their support and love along the way.  I know a lot of my “real life” friends and family read my blog and I always appreciate your comments, texts and blessings!  Tim said he couldn’t imagine how much social media I go through because when we announced it via facebook, it was blowing up.  He is always amazed at the amount of data I use on twitter.

In other news that made my week fabulous: I received my tax refunds thanks to a free efile program I found, had a solid week of training and treated myself to getting my nails done. I’ve only gotten my nails done twice in my life so I thought this was a good excuse too.  (once again ignore my manly swimmer hands…once a swimmer always a swimmer I guess…)

I haven’t been on the computer too much lately but have found a few posts that I’ve really enjoyed in the last couple of weeks.
