Existing in Real Life

I had a very busy weekend.  If you follow me on instagram or any other social media, it was the weekend Tim got his wings and officially graduated pilot training (52 weeks later).  His family was also in town which was really nice and I fully enjoyed my time with them as well.  Since photos are much easier to post then words I’ll do that.

So yes it was a great weekend.  I want to say back to the grind, but being unemployed and having no grind I just need to start packing to move again.   It was nice to spend a weekend not focused on running or training.  I nearly forgot I was a runner on Sunday.  (Except my legs hurt like the dickens from a long run Saturday).

Questions for you:

When was the last relaxing weekend you had?

Tell me something you love about your family.

I love being so close with mine.

  1. I’m not ashamed to admit I stalked your Instagram photos all weekend. I hardly know Tim and I’m so proud and happy for him! I’m glad you remembered the Alamo, all too often it gets forgotten. 😉 We need to make plans for your return to Which Wich. That is, if you are ever able to. I am sort of flexible, and I know you’re kind of in limbo now, so no worries, just a friendly stalking reminder.

    1. I hope so. I know I have to leave here (if I’m driving) by next Tues-Wednes. If I end up flying I’ll be here until the 1st of November but then god knows how my car gets to Jersey. It’s one big old hot mess.

  2. I’m glad you had a lovely weekend – you certainly deserve one!

I’m both spoilt and lucky that most of my weekends are relaxing. I’m not a relaxed person under any circumstances, but I don’t have the external stressors on top of it that most people have to deal with, so I should be grateful for that even if my brain can’t shut off and stop being anxious 24/7.

I have a very small family, but I’m happy that I have a good relationship with the family I do have (basically my parents and my Uncle).

  3. I honestly can’t remember the last weekend that I had a full relaxing weekend. At least one day of every weekend I am running around like my head is cut off. Also, since I’m trying to finish my B.S., I end up in a panic doing school work every Sunday. Procrastinate today!

  4. I love the honesty and humor of my family. We are all pretty nerdy and just love to laugh. My day revolves around the 9AM hour to watch Kelly and Michael, so I understand your obsession with Ellen! Cute outfit for Tim’s graduation!!

  5. Congrats to Tim! You two look dashing 😉 Sorry… I just had to find a way to fit that into my vocabulary today.

I love that you’re so close to your family, and I love that I’m so close with mine. It’s nice knowing that, no matter what, you can always go home and someone will have your back.

  6. I actually had a pretty relaxing weekend this weekend. I volunteered at a race on Saturday, then on Sunday went to church, got a milkshake from my favorite place downtown, did yoga, and spent some time with friends.

Wax Ellen looks so cool! I would take a picture by her too, her talk show is probably my favorite talk show and working from home I see a lot of daytime TV!

The pic of you and Tim in front of the plane is really cool. Congratulations to him for getting his wings and I know he was glad you were there.

  7. I love pretty much everything about my family. As you know, haha!!

I’m glad you had a really relaxing real girl weekend, Hollie. That’s awesome. Congrats to Tim, too! His sister’s baby is definitely one of the cutest I’ve ever seen!

  8. This past weekend was pretty relaxing. I went to see Gravity – that part wasn’t so relaxing. I almost got motion sickness and I never get motion sickness! Good movie though.

  9. What existing in real life? No way man. You and Time look stunning in all your picture from this weekend! This Saturday was pretty relaxing for me, I didn’t have to work and hadn’t done any night shifts this week so I got to function like normal member of civilization. I went to yoga, the Avocado Festival, babysat, then did a beer tasting with friends!

  10. Sometimes photos are way better than words 🙂 You always look happy in your photos (especially when running!) but these ones, you look REALLY happy.

Congrats to TIm! That plane looks huge and terrifying and I cannot imagine flying it and holy hell I’m nervous just thinking about it. That’s an awesome feat! (Also, way to get that 21-22 miler in after a crazy weekend. Share some determination with me, would ya?)

  11. How exciting! I have some friends down at flight school for army right now to fly blackhawks and its a solid 18 month school. Such an honor for Tim 🙂

You look so happy and looks like you had a great time-you deserve it!

  12. I agree with the above lady, sometimes photos can indeed be much better than words! You are looking lovely in your pictures Hollie, and Tim looks handsome too! Congratulations to him 🙂 Too funny about the Ellen wax figure… she is someone I would LOVE to meet in real life. I imagine us to be great friends, although I’m sure most of the population thinks the same thing

  13. Congratulations Tim! I have to say all of your pictures were so beautiful Holly! Sorry I have been MIA lately, life has gotten the better of me unfortunately!
