10 Foods I eat on the Regular

WEGO: 10 Things I Couldn’t Live Without. Write a list of the 10 things you need (or love) most.

We all could write a mushy gushy post about 10 people, things, friends, family we couldn’t live without.   That would be easy now wouldn’t it?

I get a lot of questions about food and what better way to answer then talk about foods I consume close to daily.  I mean this is called Fueled By LOLZ afterall, in between all those lolz-I have to eat…sometime…

  1. Peanut flour-Lately a lot of my pancakes have been peanut flour based.  I make bread with it, whatever.  I consume this type of flour more then any other.

Chocolate peanut flour pancakes

  1. Flax Meal-If I don’t consume peanut flour pancakes, I consume flax meal pancakes.  Chances are-I’m having one or the other daily.  I enjoy the amount of fat in flax.
  2. Muscle Milk-Ever since I tried a free muscle milk with Laura at my 5k in Atlanta, I’m addicted.  It’s an expensive habit but they are so easy for on the go and when my tummy is constantly grumbling in class.
  3. Gas Station Coffee-Always having this.  Every day.  Another expensive habit.  No explanations needed.

Yeah I normally look like a crack addict when I go in to buy it as well...

4. Eggs.  Eggs are easy to cook-I am simple and not talented at cooking.  It’s like god knew I needed an inexpensive easy to cook food to make up for the expensive crap I buy

5. Hot chocolate.  It’s still 40 degrees in Northern New York.  So while ya’ll enjoy your ice cream, I’ll enjoy my hot chocolate.  (Also-diet hot cocoa sucks…just saying.).

I don’t know why I decided to hold up three fingers but I put in hot cocoa and this is what I found.

On that note-life just got tricky and I just went to look at my pantry and refrigerator to see what I have stored in there.   Clearly I eat a lot at home…

7. Canned and frozen vegetables.  I normally try and steam something at night to go with whatever meat I’m having because it’s easy and quick.

8. When I eat on campus I eat a lot of quiche, but I guess that falls under eggs…I guess…not really.  I like to get wheatberry salad but they never seem to have that anymore.  Rude.

 9. Oh I just noticed the giant hoard of pumpkin that I have in my pantry.  I add pumpkin to everything (mostly to get more servings of vegetables but also so I can maintain my orange glow…).  I kid.
10. Finally, I go outof my way to find products with calcium.  Whether it’s milk, greek yogurt, ice-cream, whatever else…if it’s got a lot of calcium-I’m all over that because I am 100% paranoid of getting another stress fracture.  #calciumwhore

That was almost too hard for me to figure out.  Right then.

Question for you:  What foods do you eat on the regular?

  1. I love peanut flour. I love making things that taste super carb-y with protein packed ingredients. Good for those muscles! Have you shared your recipe for flax pancakes? I have flax but I never really use it. I think pancakes would be an awesome way to use it up!

  2. Ahhhh I love quiche…. Now I’m craving it. I’m surprised you didn’t say OATMEAL like everyone else in the blog world 😉

I eat a lot of cereal, eggs, and veggies. My body actually hates me if I don’t manage to eat at least one veggie a day. I even went to a McDonalds at 11 PM once because I realized I neeeeeeded some veggies. On that note, people look at you really strangely when you walk into a McDonalds in workout clothes haha…

  3. Hmmm… apples (every day!), Greek yogurt, nut butters, chocolate granola, spinach… and tons of coffee, hehe. Gotta have my caffeine. Pretty sure the only food we really have in common is the coffee, but you are right about the diet hot chocolate. Yuck.

  4. Peanut flour, muscle milk and pumpkin are some of my favorites too! Nothin beats peanut flour-riffic waffles, any day starting with those is EPIC 😀

  5. Hehe that was actually 11 things. You have two number ones 🙂 I love hot chocolate. and I have never had peanut flour! I don’t know if I would know what to do with it!

  6. Love the word lamezies!
My number one is cold/ice-y water! Can’t live without it. he! he! he!
Number two is definitely chocolate, all kinds, but i am trying to stick with the dark. So being truthful, right now (since I am still a sugar addict) next is sugar, especially the moist dark brown stuff. I joined a challenge on Sparkpeople.com and I am on a 4 week plan on giving this up, really really tough. #4-10 =Ground turkey, cara cara oranges, Greek yogurt, non-fat milk, spinach, Morningstar Black Bean burgers, frozen coconut bars.

  7. My ten: (not in order) peanut butter, pancakes, ice cream, sweet potatoes, huge salads, oatmeal, fruit, bread, nuts(except walnuts), and spaghetti. 🙂 yummy!!

  8. Ha, fun list Hollie! How do you like your eggs? My favorite (well not my favorite, but a good method) is Eggs in Purgatory, where you poach them in tomato sauce

  9. haha I LOVE that photo of you with with your hot chocolate! I am totally copying your three fingers up thing next time 😉

my list probably consists mainly of nut butter, chocolate, veggies (yeaahhh frozen all the way!) and cereal right now…such a balanced diet! 😛

  10. I agree with a whole lot of these! I finally have peanut flour in my life so YES to that, and also hot chocolate! I don’t have it as often as you do, but our DCs have some tasty hot cocoa and enjoy it a few times per week 🙂
Greek yogurt, apples, and cottage cheese are consumed pretty much everyday by meeeee
