SSSSSaturday

I don’t normally do Saturday posts but my life has been running smoothly lately.  My personal life…my running life…my work life…the lolzen life.  I don’t do marvelous Monday’s either but I can just add an S word to the start of this post and well…it’s a blog title…(because isn’t that what “link up posts are? ) naturally I asked twitter for some advice on adjectives starting with s.

Super: My life has been super because…I’m falling back into routine.  I’ve accepted it’s cold here…I’ve accepted that I’ll stay inside and be a happy little saucy clam.

Spicy: My life has been spicy because this photo screams spicy.  I also like Mexican food…spicy.

Smushy: My life has been smushy because the ice is melting and the roads are smushy.  Not my life but relevant.  Also I feel smushy is some sort of romantic word too and that has been going well.

Snarky: My life has been snarky because last week I posted a blog to see how long I could hold your righteous attention  for.  Incase you participated and were curious (I know a few people told me they were) about 50% of the commenters picked up on it that day.  ;) Super.  Does’t matter to me either way LOL.

Saucy: Work has been saucy, and finally having a paycheck is satisfactory.

Here is a photo of me giving my dad a check.

Special: My first paycheck went to a special flight back home over the college Spring Break.

Sassy: I won a pair of leggings (YAY more black leggings) from Brittany’s giveaway!

because I have 2 bins full of leggings

Leave it to my homie Harris to say slutty: That my life has not been.

  1. bahahah :D This is freaking awesome, and a great way to start my day. I guess life has been snowy. I hate snow but ti keeps coming. And I guess it will be pretty today since I can stay inside Snuggly and warm (did you catch the S!)

  2. I’m not going to lie…I’m slightly disappointed you didn’t use his suggestion of sanctimonious. That would have been impressive. :-p
Mine life lately has been: somewhat stressful with schoolwork (there’s some alliteration for you), and snowed-in. But nonetheless, it is super satisfactory.

  3. ‘Sanctimonious’ would’ve worked very well given the tone of some of the more popular blogger link-ups :P

I’m loving the absence of a certain ‘s’ – the snow has mostly melted here. Shame there’s ice there in its place though.

I also love your cold weather running outfit, particularly the bobble hat!

    xxx

  4. Sleep! I totally slept in today because I figured I’d be on the treadmill for my long run this weekend. Oh and we totally got hit with snow last night. I’d been hoping it would be a dry winter this time around.

  5. Hahaha as usual, you win the gold star for creative blog posts. Glad you haven’t been too “slutty” lately. I totally saw the righteous in your last post and then forgot about it. I have the worst reading comprehension ever. My SAT scores were dismal in that section. Good thing my science brain makes up for it.

  6. Hot damn what a S tastic Saturday indeed!! I sent your leggings a few days ago, and I am getting nervous they are going to be too big for you!! With all your excitement that would be sad sad day for me. Ah the slutty friend..we all have one that suggests that.

  7. Well I feel kind of Stupid… I totally did NOT catch on to that righteous thing last week. Oh God, I’m becoming what I hate. Either that or you caught me on a bad day with not enough coffee in my system. Can I go with the latter, please? ‘Cause I could use a break – lately my life has had too much snow and stress, and not enough sunshine and sleep.

  8. RIGHTEOUS!! :) Still thought that was fabulous…anyways glad you are nailing your routine! I don’t even feel right complaining about Blacksburg weather when you are buried in snow 24/7.

I’m feeling snarky & sassy…but that isn’t anything new haha

  9. Ssssssso many Ssss and this I enjoy. Sensual. Serendipitous. I like your friends use of sanctimonious, what a great word! I had some Ssssspicy guac last night while out at a Mexican place with some friends… and some sssssangria. I like this game!

  10. It was so sad … I caught the “righteous” comment when I was re-reading your post the next day (you’re one of the bloggers I return to old(ish) posts to re-read advice … thought you should know) and felt like a total noob.
My week has been filled with sighs. Out of frustration, anger, and finally relief. Hoping that next week is a little less schleppy and shitty and a little more scintillating and sassy.
For the record — smushy as a romantic adjective sounds very like your snarky sarcastic self would use in a “let’s make fun of it but actually make the best of it” kind of way. I like it on you! But to (the perpetually single) me, it just sounds like a PB and banana sandwich that’s been in my bag a bit too long.

  11. Haha, I like you described the snow melting as smushy. That’s exactly how I pictured it, not that I’ve been around enough snow to know.

I don’t know how I missed the word righteous, but I was reading at work so sometimes I do have to skim through or get distracted because I’m reading with a billion other things going on!

I really like how you used the word snarky. That’s how everyone described me in our office meetings back when I worked in the office, but I don’t think I ever give off that impression on the internet, haha. Then I said the word snarky a few times at track practice and none of the other coaches had ever heard that word and started using it themselves :) .

  12. hahaha this was so much better than your average rhyming-title blogger link-up party thing. Those mexican burrito cheese covered things look good….and I say that even though I hate mexican food! Let’s see, I haven’t been Slutty either and I have kind of been a Sloth since having Surgery….but this week I finally get to go back to my full work schedule….SCORE.
