Love yourself with PMB is a time where you can talk about something you love about yourself physically, mentally and then brag. We all have something we should be proud of and there is no need to be hard on ourselves. So with that, I’ve created a fun sort of Thursday post complete with a cute little graphic. This week physically I love my feet. Okay that seems a bit odd considering I’m rather injured with my feet being the primary issue. At my appointment with my podiatrist on Tuesday I said Geez, I have been trying to hide my feet because I think they look so gross. (missed toenails, weirdly shaped…typical runners feet) and he said, “Hollie your feet were carrying you 90 miles a week…how can you not love them?”
And he is right! My feet are not superheros and the fact that they can carry me so many miles (in my and his opinion) is downright amazing. So what if they look gross, they are doing their job.
Mentally this week my ability to stay calm in the storm has gotten me through. I’ve been really stressed with work but taking several steps back has been wonderful for me. Never underestimate your ability to deal with stress!
This week, I was chosen to be part of a big public health conference in Syracuse. It is not often an intern gets to go to such an event so I was really excited to go with my boss. (I do exist outside of working out…somewhat at least). I put my heart into public health campaigns and I really think it’s showing through!
