So I committed the ultimate Blogger fail yesterday. After meeting up with Katelyn, I realized I had left my camera in the on position and therefore it had died. Imagine that…I’m the most observant and intelligent person and pulled that move.
So my dearest blogging BFFS. You will be forced to deal with Katelyn’s awesome photography (aka much better then mine hollaaa). Before I begin, I must say while waiting for Katelyn to arrive, Aram and I watched someone getting a sobriety test. At 6pm…they failed but in the three years of my college times this was the first time I had ever seen it. It was quite interesting.
I have to admit, I had never ever been to a Vegan Restaurant before and it was seriously the bomb.com. I was a little worried that I wouldn’t even begin to know what to have but it was amazeballs. Since this was her favourite restaurant, she ordered for the table. We ended up getting five different dishes and splitting them each.
The chai coconut tea makes me want to give up coffee and hot cocoa for the rest of my life. It was the best 4 dollars, I have ever spent.
The Ethiopian Lentils were by far my favorite. Can I just live off these?
So in short if you are ever in Rochester, go eat your little heart out at Natural Oasis.
Afterwards we went to her house for some Biggest Loser Bonding and cookie eating.
Oh by the way, Katelyn’s cookies are delicious and I plan to recreate her concoction at school-along with fried plantains.
I was also able to try her signature Quinoa-Hummus-Raisin-Balsamic Bowl and let me say it doesn’t disappoint.
Incase you wondered, I indeed had a fabulous time, so shout out to Katelyn and you should all meet her. Right now.

This morning following a date with the Arctrainer, Aram made us scrambled egg sandwiches with ham. That is his favorite postworkout meal. Since I’m at his house-when in Rome?
I actually didn’t have pancakes or waffles at today go figure…
Anywho, Aram and I headed to Syracuse to meet Caitlin so that I may get back up to school.
We stopped for an extremely late lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. I had like 20 salads (because their salad bar wins) and salmon with spegetti squash. I had never actually tried it until today and I love it! YUMMY!
Does anyone else agree that Ruby Tuesday’s Salad bar is the best part of restaurant? As much as I like their entrees, their salad bar is what brings me back.

Question for you:
What is one type of food you were hesitant to try and once you did you were obsessed?
Um. Everything Katelyn eats makes me want to be her.

Haha wait I love you, I will gladly come and cook for you all the time aka I am coming to visit so get excited, yes I just invited myself over, YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN APARTMENT:)
I was so sad about your gorgeous camera, at least mine was charged!:)
I love Ruby Tuesday salad bar — and I also love the new garlic biscuits that you get with your meal — those are awesome!
That chai coconut tea sounds beyond belief. I am a huge coffee fan, but chai wins sometimes. Sounds like a great blogger meet-up!
Sounds like fun! I’ve never been to a Ruby Tuesdays.
yea for blogger meet ups!
I want to do a blogger meet up!! So jealous. It looks like you had a blasty
Quinoa hummus balsamic raisin bowl sounds like it’s right up my alley!
The best part of ruby tuesday is the salad bar. The best part of the salad bar is the butter-drenched pumpkernickel croutions. I die with every bite. Have you ever tried their iced teas? They’re really good too. They have cool flavors.
I’ve actually never have even had ice tea. I’m such a big coffee drinker ha/
I love every part of their salad bar and wish they could have a setup in my house ha.
OMG, I did that with my camera yesterday at the beach! Thank God I had already taken some pictures, I was so upset. Haha! That’s funny.
So jealous!! I want a blogger meet-up!!
I was always hesitant to try zucchini, but now I love it!
omg, milk coconut chai tea just sounds amazing! I’ve only had 1 blogger meet-up & that was when I went back home. I’m sure there are other bloggers in my city now (Tucson), but I don’t know any of them.
Hmm… tough question! No idea… maybe Kale?
And weird story, but I might be partially familiar with that restraunt in like a twice removed way.
And personally, I can’t stand any chain restaurant- chili’s, friendlys, ruby tuesdays, applebee’s. Since I barely go out to eat (you probably know why- its really hard for me) so when I do I want to go somewhere unique and amazing!
Glad you’re back safe Hollie!
There was a few foods that I’ve tried over the years that I was hesitant to try & I’m so glad I did. Probably the best find was seafood. I used to say “I don’t eat anything that swims”. Was I missing out! I loooove shrimp, tilapia, seabass, sushi, calamari, etc. You’ll never know until you try!!
I love seafood as well Seabass is my secret favourite and eel!
Ruby Tuesday has an amazing salad bar! The food I’ve had there is alright, I had a pretty yummy veggie burger last time I was there, but seriously the only reason I ever go there is for the salad bar!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Ruby Tues’ salad bar! It’s only (closely) rivaled by Jason’s Deli.
aand I totally agree, Katelyn is the bomb.com. I’m totally jealous of your bloggy meetup!
I heard you liked the famous quinoa balsamic bowl….will you be recreating it?
I have a box of coconut chai tea… so yum. I got it from target
It is super good with milk and sugaaa! Glad you had a nice time and that is super funny about the sobriety test LOL. My brother used to work at Ruby Tuesday .. YUM.
So glad you got to meet Katelyn- what a fun time
And that sucks about your camera, but at least you got some pictures!!!
seafood! i used to hate it and would never try it, and now i’m so happy i did!
um yeah, belive me when I say that I look ilke a 12 year old 99% of the time…(the other 1% being on prom last year!) haha glad you had fun with miss katelyn! It sounds like a great meetup…OMG I totally have had a chai coconut latte before! It was down in ashville nc and was seriously the BEST thing ever! I’ve never seen it on the menu anywhere else before though:(
I wanna do a blogger meet up!
I was hesitant to try cottage cheese and now I’m obsessed!
