I fell asleep extremely early last night. I don’t remember the exact time but I was laying in bed and all of sudden I wake up and it’s seven am. Go figure my body needed some major sleep. I have been lacking in that department lately. For me sleep deprivation is less than 8 hours. I cannot and will not function very well.
Today my math professor said I looked like a prepster mathematician. I surround myself with only the greatest teachers obviously. That and I feel I amuse every single one of my math professors…needless to say I’m not the typical math major and I’m always okay with that.
For breakfast today, I had strawberry short cake pancakes.
Pancakes+strawberrys in my magic bullet+vanilla yogurt om nom nom.
Did I mention how pancakes fuel my 7 mile runs?
I got a question the other day of why I choose to run 7 miles to begin my base training, not ten, not five ect.
All my favorite running routes are 7 miles long (plus or minus). So it has just become a comfortable running distance for me. I don’t really have an exact reason but it is a distance I can run continuously and not be sore. Today, however, my calves were on fiyaa. Somehow I ended up doing the same exact pace as yesterday.
(Incase you wondered-it was snowy and cold so I opted for the lucky dreadmill)
My second workout, however, consisted of a bit of cross training and some lifting. (I can’t let my lil ladies beat me in my own strength class this summer now can I?)
It was rather crowded when I went and the machines that I love were all being occupied. I am a very intense person and normally I get really worked up about these sorts of things but today I just reminded myself that there are other machines and some people are in greater need then me. It just shows me how much I have progressed in the last year with being spontaneous and not letting little things bother me.
I began doing what we normally do in class to warm up to that and as time progresses I’ll switch machines/routines/ect.
3X12(bicep curls, hammer curls, triceps kick backs) 15 lbs
This is done continuously with a break after each round of 12 bicep curls, 12 hammer, and 12 triceps.

Then I did some various core exercises among my favorite an ab roller! These things are nutzo.
Dinner tonight was with some cross country (and future) ladies at our dining hall. I had an olive based salad with crumbly blue cheese and some pot roast. I had some chicken and sweet potatoes that went unphotographed.
Your views on education:
Well in case you have never read my blog or heard me ramble about my love for math, I want to become a math teacher. I feel very highly for secondary school; however I do believe that college is not for everyone. Not every job requires college and I do not believe every person in the world is ready to go to college. I do however, believe that everyone posses the qualities to graduate high school.
I think that there is a lot of room for our education as a country to improve, but it has to begin with the attitudes of americans.
