Oh swim meet recap, where to begin.
First thank you all my blogging friends for my well wishes and good luck at my meet. You guys are too cute.
Well my blogging friends, I have officially decided that this was one of my downward seasons of swimming. In everything you do, you have good days, you have bad days, you have good years and you have bad years. This was one of the bad years.
Did I have still have a lot of fun and enjoy swimming? YES! Did I add close to a minute on my pr for the 1000? YES! Either way, I had a good time with my friends or do not regret cross country whats so ever. (Once the meet pictures are posted to our team site, I will steal some and add them to my blog)
In response to Chuck’s question: How do you stay loose and warmed up during a swim meet?
Well, we have warm-ups 4 hours before the meet and I do about 2000 yards during that period. Then I leave read my blogs, chill, do whatever until the meet. Then about an hour before the meet, we have second warm-ups which I do about 1000 yards at. This includes a variety of things normally about 300 warmup, 4X100 sprints and then some 25s of the blocks. There are two warmup periods during the meet as well. One between my 1000 and 500 and one actually right after my 500. I normally don’t swim anything after my 500, so I get to cooldown. This meet was different, however, that I had to anchor some relays at the end of the meet. During the in meet warmup, I do about 200 yards. In total, I end up doing about 5000 yards during a typical swim meet.

I had some different breakfast foods before my meet. I told you earlier, I have been obsessed with my waffle maker currently. So that is what I had. On Friday morning, I had a blueberry waffle and topped it with Chobani yogurt nom nom nom.
For dinner I had Quiznos. My 300 dollar eating spree is up, so now I’ll have to prepare my own food again. Oh boo.

Friday night was filled with watching Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings. I have now figured out that the wedding dress I want is obviously this one.

I’ll be waiting at the church at the end of aisle if I have any takers that will marry me in this dress at 4pm on Sunday.

Saturday morning was filled with a nice pear waffle. Pear waffle you ask? I cooked the pears in the microwave after adding some cinnamon and apple spice and sweetener for 1 minute. Then added them to the mix and put into my waffle maker. Since pears are quite large, I also had extra so I just threw it on top.

Saturday night I made crab cakes and veggies. I literally just steamed about three and a half cups of veggies and ate them. Needless to say, I got my fruit and veggies of the day (which was one of my New Year’s Resolutions…) Since I am such the simple gal, I had bought these crab cake pattys already and slapped them on the grill. George Foreman grills have certainly saved my cooking a little bit.

Day 4 A picture of you looking Goth.
For Halloween in high school, I was supposed to be a Goth girl. I don’t really think I did any justice but I tried hard. This was one of 7 Halloween parties I went to that year. I was something different for every single party. I went to 1 Halloween party freshman year of college, none sophomore year and one this year. Ha.
Question for you:
What is your favorite style of wedding dress?
What do you do to pass time?
