Subscription Stalker Saturday. Since I’m clearly going to get a job as a blog reader, I thought I would feature blogs that I stalk, um read periodically. Today’s blog is: I heart eggs because quite frankly, I heart eggs too. And my swim coach demands that we eat five for breakfast since they are the perfect source of protein. I used to not adore eggs and would always have pancakes every breakfast but I’m a recent converter.
Enough of my rambling because I have said nothing about Becca’s blog, I love that Becca’s blog is full of so much sarcasm and fun. She is a super sweet figure competitor with an adorable cat Fitz. (I’m such a cat person myself since you can’t really say I’m a donkey person now can you?) She always posts her amazing strength workouts for her awesome figure and her cardio routines. Join me in subscription stalking Saturday and stalk Becca.

This morning, I had a 5k race called Freezin for a Reason. This is a trial run in the snow. I was freezing but I didn’t find any reasons to be out there…Anywho the course was hilarious. How can a 5k course be hilarious you ask?
When you get completely lost, some people did 4 miles, some walkers did 2 and everyone thinks they finished doing the correct distance. Let me tell you-I ran right by the finish line and had no idea, my brother had to chase after me and be like Hollie, you run that way. Oh yeah? Is that how it works?
My brother’s entire cross country team (of course led by my brother, Matt) ended up getting lost and almost finishing behind people doing a ten minute pace. My brother goes under 18 minutes during his injured phase of running. He could almost finish five miles in 30 minutes. Needless to say, I quite enjoyed the workout and it was very comical. What can you expect from a first time race? My favorite part is instead of getting t-shirts, we got hats.

Day 3: The cast of your favorite TV show:
Americas Next Top Model, but Say Yes to the Dress and What Not to wear are close seconds. I don’t watch much TV at all but those three shows I follow.

Day 2 of the breakfast switch up:
French Toast Bagel thins with yummy pumpkin guts.
Throughout the day I snacked on so much including apples, yogurt and my newest addiction keifer. Keifer is a mix between yogurt and milk and basically if the two had a love child-this is what it would be.
Insert nom nom noms here.
I had forgotten until last night, there was an additional club practice and could go too at two today instead of swimming by myself.
5X200 Freestyle warmup
5X150 kick-drill-swim
20X75 Butterfly
15X50 Butterfly
3X300 Pull-kick-Pull
200 cool-down
I had also forgotten today was choice stroke and between butterfly, backstroke and Breastroke, I knew fly was the only one I would be capable of making any sort of intervals.
Question for you?
Have you ever led anyone in a completely wrong direction during a race?
Besides today, I led the entire of heat of finals (in swimming) to do a 250 instead of a 200, my sophomore year of high school. I’m more a follower can’t you tell?
