Saturated with

Today, I had to make a to-do list.  I need to stay motivated to get my work done, which has not been happening lately.  I have fallen trap to do many other things.  This does not include cleaning or homework mind you.

It does include swimming the same practice twice because my coach forgot to print off my second one:

800 Free-IM (alternate by 200s)

400 Free-IM (alternate by 100s)

6X175 pull

3X800 timed freestyle (9:18, 9:22, 9:19) (9:32, 9:20,9:22) I was pretty tired the second go around.  Go figure.

500 kick

10X100 backstroke

300 Pull

In side news-I haven’t really done a food blog in a couple days.  Perhaps tomorrow when Aram and I go a very fancy restaurant.  He promised me we could go sometime before he graduates (and we only have what a month left before that…).  The restaurant is called 1844 house and they serve a lot of different foods but specialize in sea food.   I’ve scoped out the menu and this would be a perfect time to try something new.  Like some sea bass!  Have you had sea bass?  Will I like it ha?

Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass
on a soft polenta cake with a tomato-leek-saffron puree and finished
with crispy fried capers and candied lemon.

In other news here are some oat pancakes I have devoured over the last couple of days.  I made some homemade chocolate sauce because I need to get rid of my cocoa powder ha.

¼ cup Hershey cocoa powder

2 tablespoons syrup

Maybe you want some sweetener but I have a strange love for tart things.

Anywho-

Group 2b gets a punishment set tomorrow since two boys found it necessary to sleep through morning practice.

Group  2b is the distance boys group.

I was moved there literally 3 days ago…I’m not even a boy (incase you didn’t know) but I’m closer in times with them.  I’m going to work my magic (and beg not to swim it) because drawn out of the hat was a 2000 yard im.

One more thing.  I promise to you-I’m not actually a complainer ha.  If I didn’t love swimming-I wouldn’t do it.  Most of my posts are saturated with my sarcasm.  Everything has their good and bad qualities and ups and downs.  This just may be one of those downs but it will probably 45 minutes of my life.  That is how I normally look at practices.  It’s two hours of my life then it done.

Questions for you:

What is on your to-do list (besides reading my blog of course ha.)

Do you like sea bass?

  1. I always put down things like working out and grocery shopping on my to-do list… but I do list working out, and the workout I’m going to do. It’s just as important as anything else on the list, right?

What you wrote about the punishment set is okay, it’s not complaining. I mean, you’re not a guy, you have to swim with them, and it’s not your fault those dudes overslept. You’re doing what you have to do for swimming and going to the practices, you can’t help your teammates. But I guess that’s how it goes on a team =/.

Never had sea bass, but that dish sounds really tasty.

  2. Hey girl! I’ve been reading your blog for a while and it sounds like we’re twinsies!! haha I’m a waterpolo player at Long Beach state in CA and have been swimming all of my life. I run all the time outside of practice as well. I’m not as hard core as you are though, joining the cross country team. Thats awesome though and I think your so cool for putting so much in for the love of sports :) keep it up!!!

  3. I think you’ll love sea bass! The description of the Polenta cakes sounds awesome too.

On my to do list is find time to blog, sleep more, and find an apartment in Cincinnati

  4. You are so lucky! Have fun with Aram :) I think you are going to like sea bass as long as it isn’t dry… and polenta cakes MMMM! I love your sarcasm! hahaha

  5. On my to-do list is clean my room (I never seem to get it done), start studying for finals, start working out again (it’s been over a week since I’ve worked out), drink 64oz of water, and blog on Spark.

I hope you enjoy/enjoyed your seafood!

  6. Ugh, I used to be a highly competitive swimmer and that set of 800s would just be brutal for me, especially since I did sprint breast/free and mid distance free. Props to you!

  7. I’ve only stolen bites of other peoples seabass! but I liked it!

I have SO much on my to do list, secret santa’s (X2), getting my snowbaord waxed, work, cleaning, IKEA> ugh!!!
