Living in a Windtunnel

Before I post about my eats!  Jamie is having a giveaway for a Food Network recipe book!  Now if she could give away some of her good eating, I would take that too.  Her recipes always look delicious and this is a main cookbook staple of hers.  So check out her blog, because I know I’m obsessed with it.

—————–
Was it windy today where you are? I thought I was in a wind tunnel and going to blow away all day.

My alarm went off on time today!  Success in my life.  I actually woke up before my alarm anyways-but it went off at 5:30.  I had a South Beach Triple Berry Bar.  I had one last Saturday and I was a fan for sure, so I woke up on a good note.

Swim Practice:

1000 Warmup
1000 Pull
400 Im
500 Pull
400 Im
300 Kick
13X150Interval
4X25 All out
800 Swim
Total: 6750 Yards

Then I came home and did not make red velvet pancakes.  I will save that for Saturday morning before the meet hehe.  I made Greek Yogurt Pancakes instead.

½ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
6 ounces Greek yogurt
¼ egg substitute
Optional:
2 tablespoons cocoa
Vanilla Extract
Sweetener to taste

Then I topped with a little syrup and more Greek Yogurt!  It was like a match made in heaven.  I am still in love with the Red Velvet Pancakes though.  Can you tell I can’t get over them?

Then learning about more great mathematics and then to mail my dad’s birthday present.  It is his birthday on Saturday so I had to get that out today so it would come in on time hehe.

At the dining hall today, I had a chicken flatbread sandwich and 3 egg rolls.  I love the egg rolls here (but my butt doesn’t ha).  I also ended up having a piece of cake since it was so cute.  That is probably not the best either.

The eggrolls went missing into my belly.

Then insert a 10 mile run here in the most windy climate in the world.  I seriously thought I might blow away, it was awful.  I was looking for a tornado to touch down all day today.

Then off to Wal-Mart with my housemate Kelley to pick up Secret Psych stuff for the swim meet on Saturday.  For our first home meet we each draw names and then decorate their lockers.  Lucky for me, I got the only other math major and someone I adore.  So it’s perfect.

Then to the dining hall with one of my friends Kelsey.  Seriously, I know this sounds rather ridiculous but I have gotten a meal with someone other than Aram at least once a day this entire week.  I haven’t eaten every meal with him.  That is really good for me since he is graduating in a month and it isn’t like I don’t have friends…I just always end up eating with Aram but never fear we are not one of those obsessive couples we just eat a lot of meals together. I need to find other people to eat with too because what will I do second semester?

When you were in college/high school/work/whatever, did you ever know any couples that just wouldn’t leave each other’s side ever?

I find it rather obnoxious myself.

Which leads me to my next question, do you think it is okay for people to spend all their time with their significant other?  Such as can one person can really fulfill all your social needs.

Anyways for dinner I had steak and potatoes and lots of dessert.  I think it’s been a rather rough week for me in that aspect of eating somewhat healthy.

I had about 10 of these Mouse cups.

I’m off to dye my hair.  One of my housemates, Michelle is a pro!  I’m just darkening it back up so it doesn’t like mousey brown again because we all know that damage Chlorine does.

Expect photos tomorrow at the diner.

What should I purchase at netrition.com? What are you favorite purchases? I am already buying protein and pb2. :)

  1. People definitely need to spend time with people other than their significant other.

It was very windy here in WI yesterday and still today as well. I believe we had gusts up to 60mph yesterday!

Can’t wait to see your hairdo pics tomorrow!

  2. girl- if i worked out like you did then i would DEF eat all of thse mouse cups! hahaha
and so true- relationships are ALL ABOUT BALANCE!!! gota balance all of it! are you a jr or a senior?

  3. It is SO windy where I live, all the time. :-/ Its awful. Pretty much year-round wind gusts and This is in the desert too, so dont forget all the dust storms. I hate it but it could be worse. Just makes me happy for the nice days we have. :-)

  4. I will have to say I find those couples annoying now (I use to be one of them in college though haha) I think you need to have just your girlfriends to hang out with, and they need their own friends too. I think that it is healthy! but just my two sense, now that Im older and more mature hahaha

  5. Ahh those couples that are practically married. They ARE quite annoying. It’s especially upsetting when one of your friends turns into one of those couples. When the relationship ends, they realize that they have no friends to turn to.. sad.

I can’t wait to see your newly dyed hair! Hope it goes well.
