Well in light of the snow from yesterday, today we had frosted roofs. Yesterday was a day that I would rather just forget though. I didn’t eat well, I didn’t feel well, and my swims and runs suffered from my lack of sleep and such. I was in bed by 7pm last night if that explains my day.

Before practice I had a South Beach Diet protein snack bar. For 100 calories, it has 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber plus 20% of calcium. It was a winner. It was really good as well and I love the fruit filled center (or so they say).
Anywho-we had Saturday practice today which I actually felt a lot better than previous days but still not amazing. To make the whole situation better, it was a practice with our entire girls team (roughly 25 girls) packed into 6 lanes. That doesn’t seem like a lot but when you have sprinters, distance, backstroke, Breastroke, butterfly and Imers having their own separate lane it becomes crowded quick. There are five distance girls (geez we are half the team ha). I ended up being moved to swim with the fastest girl on our team (an IMER…or basically whatever the coach wants ha) because no one else can keep up with her. Seeing how I am the top distance swimmer and it was basically a distance practice my coach thought it was an ingenious idea…

Let me tell you, I was feeling great. I was making those 200s on 2:20…she was a 25 infront of me every single time. After I ONLY left 5 seconds after her. That much distance in a 200, home girl is quick!
Then I came back and made…drum roll please. Chocolate Oatmeal! I got this new dark chocolate oatmeal packets at the local grocery and it was so good. I might not even have pancakes and just have this all the time. Ooh so good. I added pumpkin, protein and ½ cup Chobani Greek Yogurt.
Then insert some homework and laundry.
After that, I had to go back to the pool and listen to a speech given by someone in our health services. One of the guys got himself into a lot of trouble last year with drinking and so for his community service he has someone come and talk to us about the effects of alcohol. I didn’t learn anything new and it was a large waste of time but at least he gets to swim. He would have been kicked out of school if it wasn’t for my coach.
Then Aram and I went for a run. It was so cold out again and my calves started to cramp up hardcore. Do you find your legs cramp up in the cold? Please share your secrets of uncramping calves. I hate running on treadmills and am trying to get as much running outside as possible before the negative weather comes.
Then more cleaning and cleaning.
I also made myself some Maxwell House French Vanilla Café decaffeinated instant coffee. I never really found a point of decaffeinated coffee but it can be substituted as hot cocoa (in my mind at least) and this was especially good.
Aram and I went to the dining hall for dinner. There wasn’t too much that was good honestly. I had lemon pepper chicken (which was amazing) and olives and a bit of salami. Other than that though-I couldn’t find too much that I enjoyed ha.
I don’t have too many big plans tonight-I have a big test Monday and Tuesday so I suppose my night will be spent doing that.
