Beet Your Hunger Protein Smoothie

I’m trying to be productive, I swear! All that is coming out of it is making new things and trying new recipes. I’m going to end up blogging each individual meal because it will be a new recipe and I can link back to it.

So anyways-this originally came from Live, Laugh, Eat. I tailored it to fit my individual needs and boy is it tasty. Infact, I didn’t even know I liked beets until now!

½ cup cooked beets
1 cup Greek yogurt
½ cup go lean kashi cereal
2 tablespoons Hershey unsweetened cocoa
Sweetener to taste

I first cooked the beets. Then crushed up the cereal in my magic bullet. I add either Kashi cereal or Fiber one to add a bit of extra fiber and make it thicker. Then after the fiber one is completely crushed, I added the rest of the ingredients and blend!

The results are this!

275 calories/46 carbs/1 fat/33 protein/50% calcium/14 grams fiber

Spiced Pumpkin Protein Pie

I have to be completely honest. I have made this recipe several times but have not thought of a good name-so haven’t posted it. I’m going to post it now I suppose and update it when I get my creative juices flowing. I have updated it a bit more for my liking by adding more pumpkin and Greek yogurt and hot cocoa mix.

Protein Pumpkin:

1 tablespoon egg substitute
1 packet hot cocoa mix (I use Swiss Miss Diet)
¼ cup pumpkin
1 scoop vanilla protein (You could use cinnamon, I use Vanilla Isopure right now)
Dash of water, baking powder, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and artificial sweetener.
Mix all ingredients in a microwavable dish and microwave for 50 seconds.

Spiced Pears:

1 cup of pear
Cinnamon and sweetener to taste.
Mix all ingredients and microwave for 75 seconds.

½ cup Chobani Vanilla Yogurt topping
