Today I decided to try something new for breakfast. I read from The Great Balancing Act-Protein Cake. It even has pumpkin! So it’s perfect-
Pumptein Cake
I’ll be making this more and thus getting a better photo!
I used the following
1 hot cocoa mix
1 scoop Isopure Protein
2 tablespoons egg substitute
2 tablespoons pumpkin
I topped after it cooled with Chobani Greek Yogurt.
Then place in large microwavable dish. (It’s a puffer). I microwaved mine for 66 seconds but my microwave is industrial.
I didn’t go for a run before class today because it was pouring rain. I am beginning to enjoy educational psychology a whole lot. At first I was complaining but it isn’t as bad as everyone keeps making it seem to be. Today in class, my teacher asked if it was me that is always running around campus. I was a bit embarrassed and said yes and he said he might even come to a cross country race.
Then in set theory and logic we got our tests back. I got an 85! That means I have a 3.7 in the class right now (out of a 4.0 scale) and in upper division math courses how can you complain?
Aram and I went to Dexter’s on Campus today. I had a turkey and roast beef sandwich and he had his pita humus bread. I liked his better ha. I have taken a real liking to humus and I think I might purchase some at the supermarket next time. Also with our meals came pumpkins! I cannot escape them I swear!
Today really tested my motivation for running. It was pouring rain at 6 am and pouring rain at noon. I needed to run so had to run in the pouring rain at noon. I hope I don’t sick because I won’t be shocked.
Then off to swim practice. Today was 5500 of IM practice. I met a new person on the swim team. I felt accomplished before practice even started.
800 warm-up
600 pull
2X4X50 Butterfly drill
4X50 Butterfly
800 Freestyle
8X100 Backstroke
250 Breastroke kick (this seriously took me more time than the 800s ha)
7X200 Im Interval
250 Breastroke
6:00pm Aram and I were feeling something warm and pumpkiny. The Oatkins seemed prime and ready to go. So we had breakfast for dinner. We also made Turkey Sausage and seasoned with a little too much garlic. Needless to say my swim lesson student will not be as overjoyed by the sausage as I was.

Well I’m off to teach lessons and work on some homework before tomorrow. Never fear-I will be back tomorrow to do the Pancake Challenge and add a fourth checkmark under my name on the hall of fame.
I’m looking for high protein warm meals. If you have any good recipes, please post them. The protein cake is exactly what I was looking for.

oh yes, did i tell you i found libby’s today?! haha.. i’m going to try the pumpkin banana smoothie.
haha just stand far away from your students (wheee, that garlicky smell)! hehe teasing ya!
Oh YAY! I cannot wait to read about it. I saw a gigantic container today at the store (108 ounces) that I cannot wait to purchase after I’m done using mine.
My child takes about 10 minutes to get into the pool-so perhaps the garlic will be gone by then hehe.
you and your boy are so cute!!!
oh my gosh i am obsessed w. pumpkin right now FO REAL!! your creation looks aweeesome!
Hey thanks for your comment on my post today… Just curious but how did the post make you see that ED come in all different shapes and sizes? I was confused by that comment?
