I am revamping my blog a little bit. I have already made a bright and colorful background because I would classify myself as a bright and colorful person. The grey background was not as cheery as I would have liked. If you ever see me in the outside world, I am probably wearing neon clothing. Right Now-I’m wearing a bright yellow hoodie and sky blue running shorts.
I am also going to add a new section with different articles that I will be writing. Many people have asked what I did to beat the freshman 15, so I will begin there. If there is any other ideas you want to contribute, please by all means send me an email or leave a comment. A few other ideas such as time management, the benefits of cardio versus weight training, how I beat binge eating have popped into my mind. I have even had a request for swimming versus running. I’m not sure how I will even begin to write that one. So if you have any ideas of topics, please don’t hesitate.
I am by no means a registered dietician, so please consult your doctor before following any advice I give. My advice is based purely from personal experience and reading.

Some people hate 8am classes. I am not one of those people. I would rather have all my classes in the morning and get them over with. Granted, I would rather never have educational psychology period, but I would rather just get it over with I suppose. This morning my alarm clock went off at 7 am. I’m going to keep it set all week at that, because I can get my runs in before class on MWF and it gives me 40 minutes to get ready for my 8am class and than power walk to class.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to have for breakfast until the last moment today but I decided to make a Green monster. It was my favorite version thus far, because it was thick. I like my milkshakes/smoothies/ect to be eaten with a spoon rather than sucked through a straw.
Today’s green monster consisted of the following:
7:40 am Green Monster de Hollie
½ scoop of Isopure protein
5.3 ounce container of Chobani Greek Vanilla Yogurt
2 cups fresh spinach
½ cup of crushed fiber one cereal
¼ cup milk
It was my favorite Green monster to date, so I’ll have to make it again. (When I go to the store and get more Greek yogurt)
Insert educational psychology and set theory and logic here. I got a 100 on my quiz from Thursday. I really needed to start off well, and that made me quite pleased the rest of the day.
11:00am My boyfriend and I went to Quiznos. I am somewhat obsessed with that place, but never have the time to go. Today, it was still raining so I got a cup of chicken noodle soup and a steak melt on flatbread (my favorite). It did not even sit in my stomach when I swam laps today.
Today I forced myself to go swim laps. I was going to go later tonight, but I know if I go swim tonight I will not meet my goal of getting to bed earlier. So noon hour of lap swim saw me today.
2:00pm-Snickers marathon bar and plum. Both do not have photos.
I went for an easy jog today again. Just to log my hours, one hour of slow easy running. It started raining about halfway through my running, so I shivered my way to the end. I then proceeded with more hot cocoa and my boyfriends personal heater.
5:30pm-I went to Becky’s Place. This is nicer version of our dining hall. I had a grilled Panini, with chicken breast, mozzarella cheese, tomato and basil. Also included was about a cup of corn and a cup of fruit salad. I was not impressed with the fruit salad but the corn was quite tasty

.
Now I’m off to do some reading for my educational psychology class…the class that just keeps giving. What has been your least favorite class throughout all of your schooling?
