Today started off well. I woke up late (well late for me 9:30 ha. Can you believe it? I slept in.)
My boyfriend and I decided to make French toast for breakfast. Of course, not pancakes, but what is tomorrow for? I like mine topped with Chobani vanilla yogurt, to get some protein in. This week I’m really going to get a lot of protein in, to build some muscle.
10:00am French toast
4 pieces Arnold Select Light Bread
¼ cup egg substitute
¼ cup skim milk
1 dash of pumpkin spice
Mix the egg, milk and spice. Dip the bread and cook on a griddle or normal pan.
Insert some homework and lying around here.
1:00pm I had a quick snack before beginning my run. It consisted of coffee and Greek god yogurt with ¼ scoop of Isopure protein. I did not have any clean bowls small enough, so I used a coffee mug which was the perfect size.
Insert nice slow and easy run. I was going to swim laps as well but the pool was unexpectedly closed. It was rather upsetting but then I realized, swimming starts next Monday. Do I really need to get upset about missing an hour of swimming? I did a lot of thinking on my run and made some goals for the week:
1. Limit Sugar (I have been doing well but I would like to a bit better) and diet soda
2. In bed every night by 10 no matter what
3. Make time for friends
4. Blog everyday
3:00pm-I came back and my boyfriend was watching TV at my house. His house doesn’t have cable; we split a tuna melt and rooted for the Panthers! Go Panthers! They were winning when I started my run and when I got back. (He rooted for the Bills). I also had a snickers marathon bar.
I ate a piece of the bar and then realized-oh no I should take a photo. I had already eaten the Tuna melt and for that I’m sorry. I featured them in a blog back a few days though. ![]()

Then a lovely trip to Wal-Mart. In my town, Wal-Mart is the only big thing around. Going there is like an adventure, which is quite sad now that I type it out.
6:00 dinner at the dining hall. They had prime rib tonight! It had a lot of visible fat on it, and even though I love steak fat, prime rib fat is not my favorite. They also had grapes and some cooked vegetables which I what I had for dinner tonight. Prime rib, grapes and a steamed vegetable medley. It was all very good. I am really having a hard time with my sugar addiction and breaking it so hopefully this week goes a little better.
Please note how rare this Prime Rib is. I asked the man serving it, if it would Moo back at me. I do enjoy rare Prime Rib though. I just thought it was humerous they could serve that on campus.
What are your goals of the week? Also, if you read my blog often, how do you feel about the new template? I’m playing around with ideas here.
