Feeling Free with Day 3

Day 3 of actual classes.  Only one new class today-writing in the content area.  It is taught by one of my favorite professors but it is just late and I’m not a late class person.  It is from 4:30-7 boo.

On a side note-Happy Birthday Allison!  Today also marks the beginning of Sinless September.  That includes no sweets for the entire month of September along with sodas, fruit juices and other sugary bad things.

What are your goals to stay healthy in September?

Besides staying sinless, I want to be on the computer less and really focus on my studies more.  I also want to stop worrying so much about tracking calories and focus on performing better as an athlete.

Today my boyfriend and I woke up at 7am to go for a morning run.  I can’t make cross country practice due to class, so we are supposed to go for a slow run and I did it in the morning before class.  I just feel better waking up early and getting it out of the way, rather than waiting until 4:30pm to begin the run.

8:30am-Waffles with Greek yogurt topping.  These waffles were made with ½ cup of fiber one pancake mix, ¼ cup water, ½ scoop of extreme chocolate protein powder, and 2 tablespoons of Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa.  Double that and you have two servings.  These are sinless, because I didn’t use any sugar to make them, and they have a lot of nutritional value.  I suppose you cannot say I’m a cheater just yet.

11:30am-I made a berry smoothie again.  This time with the last of my protein pudding.  The color comes from 1/2 cup raspberries and 1/2 strawberries. The white pudding only made it a tad lighter but if you say in person you would not be able to tell there is pudding in there.  I’ll have to make some more before practice tomorrow.  I hear it is supposed to be rough.

Insert swimming in the coldest pool known to man.  My college pool had its boilers down all summer, so let’s just say it is about 15 degrees cooler than normal.

Then I headed off to modern algebra class.  It is already becoming more challenging but I think that can handle it.

3:30pm-I was starving.  I had yet to really have lunch.  We went to another food area on campus today nicknamed the Union Dining Court.  Honestly, I do not care for it that much because unless I want a sub, wrap ect, most of the choices are not that healthy.  Actually they aren’t healthy at all.  I had a sub and Greek god yogurt.  It had turkey, spinach, tomato, American cheese and banana peppers.

Then I had my final class, writing in the content area.  He informed us in class today that we would only be meeting four times.  It is going to be a majority online course, which is good for me because I need more time at night to get more work done.  He is a great teacher and I will, of course, learn a lot.

7:00pm-Dinner felt rather strange because I had had such a late lunch but I had a wrap at the union and an apple.  I met some of my friends who I had not seen since school started and they wanted to go to the union.  I was feeling Spontaneous and I agreed.  This time I had a wrap with turkey, American cheese, banana peppers, spinach, tomatoes and an apple.  It is a was a garlic herb wrap, so I felt more original than lunch but I would have rather gone to Lehman and had chicken or something of that nature.  You cannot win them all I suppose.

Here is my pitcher of sugar free kiwi strawberry water.  I normally drink about 2-3 of these per day and yes this is a 1 gallon pitcher.  With running through, I have to drink so much water. Swimming does not make me nearly as thirsty.

What are some suggestions you have to improve this blog?  I am finally becoming comfortable blogging and adding things but what would you the reader like to see/interested in?
